Industrial museum of Ermoupolis — Attraction in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

We visited this interesting and unique museum today. You can expect a warm welcome and great information as you arrive. The museum is full of interesting exhibits, spotlessly clean and truly connected to the history and culture of Syros. Brilliant smallish museum. Intelligently laid out giving a real insight into Ermoupoli. Minimal description in English but most things self explanatory and a bit of Google Translate does the rest. The very best feature in our visit was the charming custodian. He knows and cares about his city and communicates his knowledge and enthusiasm wonderfully. Tip: Good coffee and toilets in taverna to the left as you face the museum...

Ειλικρινά εξαιρετικό το Μουσείο και ιδιαίτερα αποκαλυπτικά τα εκθέματά του, χαρακτηριστικά της ιστορικής διαδρομής και του πολιτισμού της Σύρου. Μόνο με την επίσκεψή σας μπορείτε πραγματικά να αποκρυπτογραφήσετε την ιστορία του νησιού και να ερμηνεύσετε τον πολιτισμό που αναπτύχθηκε διαχρονικά σ’ αυτό. Μοναδικός στο ρόλο της εξιστόρησης ο Κος Δημητρόπουλος Αχιλλέας, μας έδωσε τη δυνατότητα με το πάθος και την αγάπη που τον διακρίνει για το νησί, να αντιληφθούμε πλήρως την ιστορική εξέλιξή του. Δε νοείται επισκέπτης να παραλείψει να επισκεφθεί το συγκεκριμένο Μουσείο… Είναι σίγουρο πως θα δυσκολευτεί να κατανοήσει και να ερμηνεύσει την ιστορική, σημαντικότατη, ηγετική και κοσμοπολίτικη παρουσία του νησιού αυτού στον Ελληνικό χώρο.
