To Tsipouradiko tis Mirsinis — Restaurant in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

Overall mediocre experience. We were running late to catch our reservation and called them 20 times with no luck to let them know. When we got there, we were given our table and I told the PR guy that I was calling so many times to let them know about our delay. His response was really arrogant and cocky for no reason telling me that they have disconnected the phone and they don’t care if someone does not show up to their reservation since they have so many people waiting for tables and they are fully booked until 20th August.

Food was really mediocre. Calamari was not cooked enough with a pesto covering all of it not able to taste the fish- pligouri salad was so poor in flavour with no herbs and overpriced. Syros has much better places to offer for greek food! Do not get impressed by the fancy decoration of this place - not worth it !!! Though...

We visited on a Friday night, and we fortunately were able to find a table within 5 minutes of arriving. We ordered a Greek salad, cheese, pork chops, fried zucchini and mushrooms with honey and talagani.

To begin with: The fried zucchini were very bland, pretty tasteless. The pork chops were alright, but not something to remember even eating. Mushrooms were really good, and most definitely my favorite dish.

Understandably not ordering fish dishes, excluded us from tasting many other dishes. However considering that fish on Greek islands are 90% of the time and many products are frozen, most dishes seemed uninspiring.

Overall the food was mediocre to alright, nothing to remember, however the staff was incredibly kind and well trained. The location is also very nice, I would still recommend the restaurant for it's atmosphere, location and...

Really excellent food but the experience was spoiled by the incredibly poor service, and the unprofessional service staff. At a good, highly rated restaurant, who allows their maitre d' to dress in a ratty polo shirt and torn jeans? The wait staff who took our order brought everything out at the same time... bread, appetizers, entree... except for the wine. We had to ask three times for our wine, and by the time someone finally brought it out, we were almost finished with the meal. The wait staff was more interested in gathering by the street and chatting or playing with their phones than providing customers with good service. I was later told that the restaurant had new owners that had several other restaurants in town and seemed to be spread too thin and weren't running any of them well. Shame... such...
