Amvix — Restaurant in Municipality of Syros and Ermoupoli

We got zucchini, peas and blue cheese pizza with an avocado, soft unsalted cheese and lettuce salad. Pizza crust is paper thin(I like crust on the thin side, but this was a little too thin)and there could have been a few more toppings put on the pizza. Salad came dressed in only a little olive oil. Salt, pepper or other seasonings were not able to be seen or tasted in the salad. An olive oil bottle was given to us along with half a lemon. The lemon juice with the salt and pepper we added was not quite enough to flavor the salad so we asked for balsamic vinegar which the waitress happily provided. The salad was a decent portion, but we were hoping for a tasty dressing to already be mixed in with the salad as we’ve had at other places. This meal was enough for two people. The place sits right across from the port and is good to eat here if you are waiting for the ferry. Nothing to write home about, but...

The place is right next to the port, which makes it a convenient choice to have your last meal before leaving the island.

Most of the Pizza Choices in the menu look great. There was also an extra leaflet with the supposedly recommended choices, though they all looked rather poor in my opinion.

Depending on the time of the day, the place can very easily be full, so you might want to try a bit before 14:00 where it starts getting full for noon. It's mostly full at evenings, so if you wanna go out there at night it might be a good idea to make a reservation.

Taste wise, the Pizzas are great. Price wise, it's pricier than average.

Its recommended that you choose this establishment for a meal at least once during your stay...

After eating only Greek food on our holiday was craving for some authentic Italian cuisine, specifically homemade pasta with creamy sauce . We were recommended Amvix for the owner is Italian and food was great so came straight here. We ordered the gnocchi with speck and gorgonzola and spicy pizza with prosciutto. Food was heavenly!! Mouth watering delicious! I was worried if it would meet my craving expectations but it exceeded it positively. Our waitress Nitsa was a sweetheart I felt like I knew her and her recommendations were spot on.
