The beach itself is beautiful and I would give it 5/5 on its own (especially combined with snorkeling to the nearby caves). I would recommend wearing water shoes (or slippers) as the pebbles can be hard to walk on barefoot though.

Then the reason I'm only giving 3 stars: 6 years ago we were here off season and there were no sunbeds and we could lie wherever. In our minds it was a great experience so we really wanted to go back. Today it was high season and there were sunbeds everywhere on that same beach. There was no sign with pricing or anyone even remotely responsible for the sunbeds when we came there (like many others), so after some looking around we just lay down.

All of a sudden some lady appeared yelling at us (and others whom also took a sunbed) at a very aggressive tone "20 euro or go away". Because this wasn't very enticing (and felt like a ripoff) we moved off the beds to the pebbles. She started yelling again "more down, no shade", because there was a tiny bit of shade from the fixed umbrella. At this point we moved again (almost to the waterfront), but left soon after as this beach clearly wasn't as inviting as it used to be (off season) - and alas a great memory now...

Visiting this beach was one of the highlights of my trip to Zakynthos. The water is crystal clear with stunning shades of turquoise and blue, perfect for both swimming and relaxing by the shore. The sand is soft and golden, and even during the busier hours, the atmosphere feels calm and welcoming.

There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, but also quieter corners if you prefer a more natural experience. The surrounding scenery — dramatic cliffs and lush greenery — makes it feel like a postcard come to life.

What I loved most was the balance: great facilities (cafés and beach bars nearby for a refreshing drink), yet the beach still keeps its authentic Greek charm. Watching the sunset here was unforgettable — the sky turns into a canvas of pink and orange right over the Ionian Sea.

If you’re visiting Zakynthos, don’t miss this beach. It’s the perfect mix of natural beauty, comfort, and that special...

The beach is cute and small with large pebbles. It’s best to have beach shoes. The water is shallow and warm, super clean. Yet, I didn’t quite like my stay. Sunbeds are very expensive (€30!) compared to every other place I have been on the island - and I have been a few places. It’s usually €10 per person, so €20 for the pair. Moreover, at some point the beach guy asked to get the other sunbed since I was not using it. He returned it hours later. The beach itself is very narrow, which also means that it gets crowded very fast, and you end up listening to every conversation around you. If you want peace and quiet, this is not the beach for you. I was there on a Friday mid June, not even in super high season. Parking is also a challenge. I parked a little further down the road, but many parked randomly closer to the beach - and they got a ticket! In short, I wouldn’t go back.

I absolutely love this little cove 😍 We travel from argassi every time we're on holiday to relax here! I'm not a fan of sand, so being pebbles is a massive bonus for us. I'd advise wearing water shoes as it is tough getting out without them. The water is crystal clear. We always sit in a little cave to the left of the beach, which is very private. I'm surprised more people don't go around there. In the 7 years we've visited, we've never seen anyone around there. It's the best of both worlds as it has sun & shade if you want, plus it's free. We always bring our snorkels with us and snorkel around to the caves to explore. See some pretty big fish and some sea urchins.
