Read moreThe beach itself is beautiful and I would give it 5/5 on its own (especially combined with snorkeling to the nearby caves). I would recommend wearing water shoes (or slippers) as the pebbles can be hard to walk on barefoot though.
Then the reason I'm only giving 3 stars: 6 years ago we were here off season and there were no sunbeds and we could lie wherever. In our minds it was a great experience so we really wanted to go back. Today it was high season and there were sunbeds everywhere on that same beach. There was no sign with pricing or anyone even remotely responsible for the sunbeds when we came there (like many others), so after some looking around we just lay down.

Because this wasn't very enticing (and felt like a ripoff) we moved off the beds to the pebbles. She started yelling again "more down, no shade", because there was a tiny bit of shade from the fixed umbrella. At this point we moved again (almost to the waterfront), but left soon after as this beach clearly wasn't as inviting as it used to be (off season) - and alas a great memory now...
Read moreVisiting this beach was one of the highlights of my trip to Zakynthos. The water is crystal clear with stunning shades of turquoise and blue, perfect for both swimming and relaxing by the shore. The sand is soft and golden, and even during the busier hours, the atmosphere feels calm and welcoming.
There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, but also quieter corners if you prefer a more natural experience. The surrounding scenery — dramatic cliffs and lush greenery — makes it feel like a postcard come to life.
What I loved most was the balance: great facilities (cafés and beach bars nearby for a refreshing drink), yet the beach still keeps its authentic Greek charm. Watching the sunset here was unforgettable — the sky turns into a canvas of pink and orange right over the Ionian Sea.
If you’re visiting Zakynthos, don’t miss this beach. It’s the perfect mix of natural beauty, comfort, and that special...
