Unfortunately even though the Makris Gialos beach is amazing, the service simply does not do it justice. The prices were quite touristy, a freddo espresso in a plastic cup to go costs 3 euros, a scoop of ice cream 2.5 euros and the sunbeds cost 15 euros for a pair of two with an umbrella (even for evening arrivals). Even though we arrived quite late at the beach at 4:30 pm and it was not busy at all, we were told that we could pay either 10 euros for the pair and leave by 7pm or pay 15 euros and leave at 8 pm. On that note, the day before we paid 10 euros from 5-8. So the pricing system is a bit random. Her customer service was great. They’ve got rock shoes and a great selection of hats and souvenirs as well as drinks and snacks. Great convenient...
Read moreFirstly please ignore the ridiculous negative comments about this beautiful cafe restaurant. You get a menu, you know how much something is before you buy it! Three of us had a stop here whilst out on quads after finding it by chance. The setting is stunning, overlooking the crystal blue water. All the staff were friendly, efficient and professional. We had chicken gyros that were fantastic. There were plenty of other people there who were also extremely happy with their meals and drinks. And yes there is an old pool there but it's no where near where eat! Stop by if you're in the area you won't be...
