This was the second stop on our Royal Caribbean excursion, and it was a truly unique experience. The park is home to over 4,000 iguanas, including the native Black Spiny-Tailed Iguana, all roaming freely in their natural habitat.
We had the opportunity to feed and gently interact with these fascinating creatures. A word of caution: avoid provoking the black iguanas, as they can be more territorial.
Beyond the iguanas, the park features a small marina where staff feed tarpon and sea bass, providing an additional glimpse into the local marine life. There’s also a snack stand offering refreshments, perfect for a quick break during your visit.
This stop was a memorable part of our cruise, offering an up-close look at some of Roatán’s unique wildlife.

Read moreDon't let old TripAdvisor reviews stop you from going to this gem. It's small, but well worth the $10 entry fee. The guides are super friendly, the animals are free roaming, and the location is beautiful! The guides go through the life cycle of the iguanas, you get a chance to feed them and even hold one if they are in the mood. I often feel like the name 'farm' is a bit misleading, as it's more of a reserve than a farm. Bring a snack and sit on a picknic table under a shady tree and watch the iguanas sun bath or just shuffle by. We took advantage of their snorkeling offer. Sam picked us up on time right from our doorstep, and was friendly and insightful the whole trip. While the reef wasn't the most colourful I've ever seen, there was a great diversity of life. A huge barracuda, upside down jelly fish, big schools of fish, and big lobsters were just some of the things we saw.
Overall, it's very much a great experience! My one recommendation is to try to avoid the times the cruise ship tours are in, since the mass of people scare and tire the animals out. Go at one or two (they close at three) and get the place...
Read moreAmazing adventure here in this wonderful park. This park is a Iguana farm as well as a marine park. This farm manages more than 4500 Iguanas which makes it mayor attraction, we had closed proximity to the reptiles since we were feeding the m with leaves 🍃. We were surrounded by many Iguanas but for our surprise they were very friendly. We were supposed to do a snorkel excursion here but by the time we got done feeding the Iguanas, it was to late. We decided to go to the pier where the marine park is located. At the pier we had the chance to take pictures with a pelican, we thought it was a fantastic opportunity. We were so happy that we came to this park, because, it gave us the opportunity to experience God's creation and enjoy it too. Thank you GOD for all you given us, AMEN. SINCERELY TONY MORA 🙏 💙 ❤....
