A Tihanyi Bencés Apátság Magyarország egyik legikonikusabb és leglátogatottabb műemléke, amely a Balaton felett, a Tihanyi-félszigeten található. A bencés rendet a történelem során többször is feloszlatták, de a szerzetesek végül 1990-ben térhettek vissza Tihanyba, és a kolostoregyüttest 1994-ben kapták vissza az államtól. The Tihany Benedictine Abbey The Tihany Benedictine Abbey is one of Hungary's most iconic and visited monuments, located on the Tihany Peninsula overlooking Lake Balaton. Went to buy ticket. Two, three sales people at counter. Did' not serve at first but let others get in front... The purchased two tickets for appx 3000 each.. Wanted to go to toilet. Ok, ticket was marked for toilet use, you can only go once for free?!! Otherwise pay 250.. Huge queue in womens" toilet... If you go soend a lot of money, buy souvenirs, you go on a 1,5 hour tour, you can only use toilet once. Especially the exit has no toilet facility either.. And pay 250 if you go twice.. No museum has done this. No Christian establishment should be so money hungry. Museum is Ok, only loud crowds with loud guides... Where is the peace and serenity of a temple? Exhibition not bad, but should be more humane. One migjt have the impression that the church needs money very fast... and in the process forgets the...
