DunaPanda Supermarket — Attraction in Budapest

Today i had one of the worst experiences where i was literally treated like a thief. I was wearing uncomfortable tights so i wanted to find an empty space with no people to fix them so i found a place with a bunch of closed boxes an no one was there. It took me less than 10 seconds and when i came out of there, a woman who was working there saw me and she came and statted yelling at me and i was trying to explain but she didn't speak english. And she coulve checked me there but i didn't take anything especially because all there is in there are huge boxes so it will be visible on me. And then when i payed for my items, another woman came up to me and she was speaking hungarian and i couldn's understand her and she didn't speak english. I tried showing her and the other woman my bag but they didn't want to let me go so i had to show them what was inside my bag item by item and they checked my cloyher like if i wad in a police station. And then when they found that i didn't steal anything, they didn't even apologize. And by the way i'm brown so i don't know if this could be some racism, but don't treat people like they are thiefs and apologize when you are proven wrong. Also, for god's sake, people who work there should be able to at least say basic things in english, i was trying to explain myself but they didn't even let me. They could've brought a customer or someone who speaks english but...

I’ve been a regular customer at DunaPanda Supermarket for quite some time and have always trusted the quality of their products until now. I went today and recently purchased a bottled white fungus drink (银耳羹) from them, only to discover it was expired, with the date clearly showing February 16, 2025. Today is July 9, 2025 and that’s nearly 5 months past the expiration date.

To make things worse, when I opened the bottle, it had a sour, spoiled smell that confirmed it was no longer safe for consumption. This is a serious health hazard, especially for those who might not check expiration dates as closely.

It’s extremely disappointing and unacceptable for a store of this size and reputation to have expired items still on the shelf. I expected better quality control and food safety standards. I hope DunaPanda takes this seriously and improves their product checks immediately. This experience has made me question whether I can continue shopping here with the same trust.
