WAN HAO Étterem and Hotel — Restaurant in Budapest

I have a stong feeling this restaurant was established to mock chinese food. We ordered 10 different dishes, half of them was not fit for human consumption. Our sweet-sour shripms was served with ketchup (yes, you heard me right…), the wonton soup tasted like warm water with algae. The sour-spicy soup’s smell was just as bad as it’s flavour and don’t even get me started on the tofu. No spices, no salt, no flavour. Textures were let’s just say weird. The only estimable achievment was the deep-feozen spring rolls. Cherry on top: all this for ridiculously high prices. After I expressed my disappointment to the waitress she told me everything tasted normal. According to what she said I highly recommend everyone to avoid this restaurant until this is the last remaining place serving...

Went there for lunch and I'm not sure which was worse - the service or the food.

The shrimp dumplings and pan fried pork buns were the only edible items. The shui-mai was the worst I have ever had, a few other items we tried weren't much better.

Overall, we did not order much food but the bill came to almost 55,000 forint. I am not sure if this place is supposed to be expensive or if we were cheated. Service was terrible: we never even got napkins, and waited almost an hour before we got anything to eat. I had to ask the server 4 times for the same thing, including "where is the bathroom" and "can I have the check?"

Unfortunately, I had to find out the hard way but do yourself a favor and go...

Simply one of the best asian food experience in the city. The place is big, 60-70 people can sit easily. They have these big round tables with the spinnable middle, so you can share the food easily. The staff is super nice, they speak some Hungarian, but their English is enough to understand each other and order. The food itself is fantastic, the portions are big, we ordered a menu for 4, there were five of us, but still it was enough, we even left some. Everything is tasty, you can get fish, pork, chicken, lamb, duck, beef, tofu, whatever you wish. The place is clean and the decoration is nice, however, you can only pay by cash.
