What a pleasure has been visiting the ruins of this Roman villa! Although I did not get any explanation, the site was open (as it was supposed to be, every Sunday between 11 am and 1 pm) and a lady greeted me at the entrance. Entrance is free and you get to see three mosaics (the one depicting Hercules has been placed at the near Aquincum museum), together with the structure of the villa and some stone sarcophagi, since the site was at a later stage used as a burial place. There's a sheet explaining the history of the villa in Hungarian and in English, there are benches, a bin and a drinking fountain. The site is in a residential area, easily reachable by public transport (I got the tram number 1 and walked less than 10 minutes to it) and the atmosphere is quiet, peaceful and therefore ideal for your visit, which I absolutely recommend! Read moreI've been trying to visit the site for the past three years but it was only available to visit with special private appointment. An excellent site with good explanations and an excellent site presentation. I...

A harmadik helység Hercules mítoszàt elevenítette meg. A màsik "védőépület"a villa magànfürdőjét védi, melyben egy ökölvívókat àbràzoló mozaik làtható.
A 3.szàzad legvégén vagy a 4.szàzad elején a villàt elhagytàk, így később az épület helyét temetkezésre hasznàltàk, a kertben làtható későrómai sírlàdàk ebből a...
