I have not stayed at the Hyatt or used their swimming pool yet but frequent it for food, drinks and events. The food is ok if using the standard menu and quite amazing on special occasions and events. It is worth noting that their ingredients have always been fresh and good quality. The place is clean and the ambience is relaxing. Kudos to the staff, especially check-in, cleaning, event management and security for always having a smile on their faces and a good word or two when you deal with them. I also like the coffee shop at the lobby. They have good coffees and pastries and I almost always have something from here whenever I stop by. The only thing that needs improvement are probably the cookies that are a bit too dry and tasteless.

However, for a 5 star hotel, I find the quality of service quite inconsistent. Sometimes, it is great and other times we have to ask a waiter 5 times to get us a drink and wait up to 45 minutes to get it at the bar. Another funny story is that we moved from the restaurant to the bar and after having a mojito at the restaurant, ask for one at the bar. The barman comes to us after 15-20 minutes to tell us that they don't have mint today. We had to ask the barman to go check with his colleagues at the restaurant since they do have mint, take some from there and use it at the bar. Then they had mint in the bar for our mojito and for everyone else who ordered one after us! I have many more such stories that I unfortunately find commonplace in pretty much all the 5 star hotels in the city. That said, Hyatt is definitely the best amongst the competition but that isn't saying much when I find instances of laziness and apathy here as well.

Finally, this isn't a major issue but another little inconvenient quirk you get used to over time. Whoever designed the underground parking was either not qualified, did not care or was building something else altogether. You cannot drive an average size car into the parking lot without reversing out twice for every turn you make because there are load bearing pillars directly in front of you. Not sure there is any fix for this but it is worth noting that this will take some time and effort especially for beginner and amateur drivers.
