Greek Club — Restaurant in Addis Ababa

I just had a terrible service at the Greek Club. The service was absolutely poor and felt discriminatory. A staff member named Selam Abiyot was the worst, and another named Bereka seemed disinterested in serving us. We were ignored as other customers who arrived after us were promptly given menus. Even after we finally got our menus, we had to wait an unreasonably long time for a waiter to take our order. When our food finally arrived, one of the meals was cold. Unbelievably the staff continued to act like we don’t exist as we called them out and we had to walk up to the counter ourselves with the cold food. We asked for the store manager, who did apologize and had our food warmed. But the poor service didn't end there. After we finished our meal, we asked for the bill. Despite the restaurant being almost empty, we were left waiting over 15 minutes just to pay. We were again forced to walk up to the counter ourselves to request our bill. The food is consistently excellent and the price is reasonable. I don’t usually eat outside my home. But if and when I eat outside and mostly when I have guest to entertain, Greek club is one of the places I would go to in Addis. Never once have I ever been disappointed. Apart from the food, you get professional service in the restaurant, clean and phenomenal ambiance (specially when you sit outside), and ample and secure parking space. Greek club was one of the mid experiences for me. I went there so that my kids could play basketball, and I would eat some snacks. Well, it turns out that the basketball court is nearly always packed with streetball players, and the food is almost only Greek food. I guess if you are into that stuff, it's good.
