Shahid Smarak park is adjoining with a nice monument in memory of the martyrs (shaheed) who fought for Indian Independence. There used to be a jail in this place during British time. The place houses a public library to read and spend some time on the several benches in the park. Would suggest visiting once if in or around Sanjay place. The smarak also hosts independence day celebration. Good for kids because of the garden and showing them a historically relevant place.

Shaheed smarak park is a Marty's memorial dedicated to the freedom fighters who lost their lives fighting for free India movement against British. Unfortunately, though the park is in main city and beautifully built it's lacks in maintenance. Fountains never work, toilets not cleaned up and the second section of the park is closed for years and is in bad condition. But it's good to be here on evening time for relaxation, yoga, fresh atmosphere.

It's a good park situated in this area.. This park is good to come here with your family or friends. The park environment is good and hygienic, i didn't see any Waste material or trash here.. It is a good option to come here with your children but there are no swings here and I didn't see any footpath here, there should be a footpath here. Overall Nice experience 👍🏼 Follow me to get well updates about places. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻

आगरा में स्थित यह पार्क अंग्रेज हुकुमत का गवाह रहा है।आप में से बेहद कम लोगों को जानकारी होगी कि जहां पर पहले जेल हुआ करती थी . बताया जाता है कि अंग्रेजी शासनकाल के दौरान कैदियों को कैद करने के लिए आगरा के इसी संजय पैलेस में जेल हुआ करती थी. जिसे बाद में पार्क के रूप में तब्दील कर दिया गया. 1971 में भारत पाकिस्तान युद्ध के दौरान एक लाख से ज्यादा पाकिस्तान के सैनिक पकड़े गए थे .जिनमें से कुछ सैनिकों को आगरा के संजय पैलेस जेल में रखा गया था।1980 के दशक में प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी के बेटे संजय गांधी आगरा आए थे एवं यहां के स्थानीय लोगों के अनुरोध पर आगरा में संजय पैलेस बसाया गया। आपको जानकर बेहद हैरानी होगी कि संजय पैलेस में जिस जगह यह शहीद स्मारक पार्क बना हुआ है वह आगरा का पहला रूफटॉप पार्क है और यहां कभी जेल हुआ करती थी।इसकी छत के ऊपर पार्क है और अंदर लाइब्रेरी है। स्वतंत्रता सेनानी ठाकुर राम सिंह के प्रयासों से यह पार्क बना था. कहा जाता है कि स्वतंत्रता सेनानी ठाकुर राम सिंह को काला पानी की सजा हुई थी और वे भगत सिंह के साथ ही थे। स्वतंत्रता सेनानी ठाकुर राम सिंह की मृत्यु राजा मंडी में सन् 1998 के आसपास की थी।अब इस पार्क में भारत के उन सूर वीरों की मूर्तियां हैं जिन्होंने देश की आजादी की लड़ाई में अपना योगदान दिया, अपने प्राणों की आहुति दी, ऐसे तमाम सूर वीरों की प्रतिमाएं आगरा के पहले रूटस्टॉक पार्क में लगी हुई हैं।

Shaheed smarak park is situated in hariparvat sanajay palace. As per Asi before this park it is prison in the british time. And british government give very hard punsihment to freedom fighters. Now this park made in memory of those freedom fighters. This is nice park and you can spent good time there.
