A small vegetarian restaurant situated near to junction where Aberdeen Clock Tower is located. Don't think that just because its small, that they don't deliver. I'd say they have the best Tamil style South Indian food to offer in all of Port Blair, along with Annapurna Cafeteria or maybe even a tad bit better, depending on what you like. We had Ghee Roast Masala and later idlis. Both were very fresh and hot and tasted superb including all the chutneys,, considering the fact that they are breakfast items and we ordered around 4.45pm. The service is also too good with them filling your chutneys and sambar regularly as and when it gets over on your plate. The manager or the owner(not sure) was a very pleasant person, with him catering to us and making sure we had our stomachs full and hearts satisfied. Kudos to him. We had filter coffees too, which again was as we had expected,, noiceeeeee!!! Cost wise also it ain't so harsh as some people here have told. Its only moderate considering how much other restaurants charge in Port Blair. Must visit for breakfast. Go here for the awesome tasting...

We being pure vegetarian were looking for a pure veg restaurant in Port Blair. Our hotel manager suggested to dine out at Hotel Kattabomman. This is a place with variety of south Indian dishes in their bouquet of available food items. The quality and taste of food is excellent. Service is quite fast. The owner of the hotel is completely involved and always on foot to serve the visitors. The restaurant opens at 7 in the morning and open till 10 pm at night.

This place is an excellent option for pure vegetarians in Port Blair where you find less options for pure veg restaurant.

Being in a tourist place the food here is cheaper as compared to others in the locality.

The occupancy is limited but for a good food waiting for few minutes is a good investment.
