the legend says, if a true warrior ventures to the top of this hill, they will have the opportunity to converse with gandhi's spirit. for years i have dreamt of making this journey. when my time finally came, i could hardly contain my excitement. i had complete faith that i was the "true warrior" gandhi had been waiting for. i made the trip, praying to all the gods that my deepest wish would come true. at long last, i arrived. and what was there? a squat, wrinkly, glasses-perscribed indian man, staring out into the horizon like a rip off luke skywalker. well, i knew immediately it had to be the man i has been searching for. i screamed his name and charged him, wrapping my arms around him, pleading forgiveness for my sins. the man stiffened and threw me off, surprisingly strong for all his supposed fasts and boycotts. "child," he said impatiently, as if he had already had to say this many times before. i whipped out a pad and pen, drafted a quote, knowing such words of wisdom come only once. "my name is bob. i'm a real-estate novelist. now get off of me and leave me alone." well i was stricken. such a quote bled deep into my soul. once i arrived home, i had it framed in gold and mounted above my lego set shelf. what a hero,...

Any one who find it hard to spend with their girlfriend/boyfriend personally, this spot can help them a little.Rather than choosing raghavayya park(which you may find police ridings at any instant)or any other shopping malls(you won’t get privacy at these malls as you always find public floating here)Gandhi hill would be a better choice.i won’t recommend this place to families and aged people as it is hard to climb the steps and they may find it uncomfortable mingling with all lovers at the spot. Also diabetic patients should be careful as there is no proper toilets(under construction for a long period of time)But families can enjoy the joy train ride...

Probably the best place in Vijayawada to bring your kids for a pleasant evening considering the other options in vja. Evening time around 5-7 would be best. Narrow gauge train ride will entertain kids and the charge is nominal. Play area for kids is maintained decently compared to Rajiv park. Parking might be an issue but manageable if you get a car on Sunday evening but rest of days yours might be the only car over there.

Nice place to spend quality time with family. It has kids park with different swings... Also a small shop is ther for snacks, icecream water etc. The kids train ride is also nice but short...you will get complete mesmerising 360 view of vijaywada... Also long stairs to reach the Gandhi stambh...I liked it .. also the tickets are cheap...
