HOTEL MINERVA — Hotel in Andhra Pradesh

I've been staying in this hotel since 2018, never faced any problem, the rooms were well maintained, the service was good and overall experience was very satisfactory and it's close to my customers. But now, since my last 2-3 visits, it seems the management has lost interest in the hotel. Starting with the room, the bed sheets and pillows are used, the towels are not in good condition, the phone is not working and there is a overall lack of cleanliness. I check-in early in the morning so do not take chances with the room availability, called them for booking at least 5 times but no one picked up, I complained at the reception about this but the receptionist casually told me that he was about pickup but the phone stopped ringing! They don't even bother to call you back even after getting 5 calls! A no nonsense boutique hotel is deteriorating so fast. I generally don't post reviews but was forced to do so. Stayed for a week, good rooms with A.C. Room has an electric kettle for making Tea/Coffee powder; on some days staff forget to keep the tea/coffee powder packets! Downside of this hotel is its location (no parking for cars), and also food. Hotel offers complimentary breakfast, typically two varieties of fruits, 3 different tiffin items (idly on all days plus two more). Sambar is pretty bad, and is unlike Andhra-style-Sambar for Idlies/Dosas. They have a south indian thali for lunch as well as dinner. Also available are a few items for a north indian style eating. If you are visiting Vijayawada for Kanaka Durga temple or other business works in 1 town surrounding, I would definitely recommend this hotel stay. Nearby multiple famous restaurants are avaliable like srinu hotel, komali Vilas restuarant, gulab restuarant, milap restuarant, star biryani restuarant, Karim biryani, other muslim authentic biryani in panja center.
