Read moreIt’s big surprise for us when we visited the temple on 2nd July. We were expecting this temple to be a small place but realized that it’s a grand new temple complex that was inaugurated as recent as June 18th!
Temple building looks like an apartment externally perhaps due to narrow site dimensions! One needs to climb quite a few steps to reach main temple premises at 2nd floor. I didn’t observe presence of lift but I am sure there’s provision for it and it’s still under construction.
Large assembly hall and beautifully decorated deities - Jagannath, Balaram and Subhadra; and whole thing was pleasing to eyes. Nice ambiance and one can get positive vibes. We participated in on-going keertan and witnessed afternoon ‘aarati’.
As we enter deity-hall, on left side there’s a small book counter/shop for pooja items. Prasadam hall and other facilities are created at ground floor; perhaps accommodation is there at first floor. After Deity darshan, we were served with full meal...
Read moreI recently had the privilege of visiting the ISKCON temple in Sheshadripuram, that too on the occasion of krishna janmashtami, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The temple's beauty and exquisite decorations created an atmosphere that was nothing short of divine. What stood out to me the most was the peaceful lack of rush, allowing for a serene and contemplative visit.
The tradition of applying 'nama' on the forehead, added a personal touch to the experience, making me feel closer to the spiritual essence of the temple. The beautifully decorated Krishna on a swing was a sight to behold, and the opportunity for visitors to join in the swinging was a unique and delightful touch.
Moreover, the soul-stirring bhajanas being sung by the devotees resonated deeply, filling the air with a sense of devotion and peace. This visit left me feeling spiritually enriched and grateful for the opportunity to immerse myself in such a harmonious and divine...
