Tulip Hotel Bengaluru — Hotel in Bengaluru

The hotel is situated very close to the Bengaluru Palace grounds and right on a busy road where vehicles enter into the expressway towards the airport and onwards to Hyderabad. Needless to say, there is significant traffic congestion and noise on the street for the better part of the day.

I stayed for a night in room 314 which faced the street but due to the sound proofing I hardly heard any traffic noise within the room. The room itself is fairly large in size with a double bed and the usual trappings. A few items, like a hair dryer and iron are available on request.

The WiFi is horrible. I don't know how they have set it up, but I barely had one or two bars of signal strength and it strained to provide a steady signal. Needless to say, I switched to 5G on my mobile which was way, way faster.

Although the room fare included breakfast, I could not sample the same owing to my having to start early (breakfast starts at 7am).

Check-in was seamless and quick, which I really appreciated after a 12hr drive. Checkout at 4:45am was also fuss free. I parked my vehicle outside, within the hotel premises, but note that the route around the building towards the exit gate is quite tough to navigate, with sharp, narrow corners, so maneuvering large SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner requires some effort.

Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and from the moment of check-in, I encountered numerous problems. We check in by 4 am and noticed that overall cleanliness of the room & washroom was very poor. However, we decided to continue our stay as we already made the complete payment in advance. AC operations inside the rooms set to restricted mode and cannot adjust as per our requirement. The breakfast experience was extremely disappointing considering both menu and taste. Housekeeping team forgets to keep the towels and the same was provided after several attempts of calling the reception. We brought food from outside and requested for plates & cutleries for having the same and the receptionist informed that the same will not provide as per their policies. During the check-out time, we requested to add a missing information (Only Company Name & not GST) in the invoice, and they immediately refused our request without understanding the actual concern.
