Ballavpur Wildlife Sanctuary & Deer Park — Attraction in Bolpur

Apart than the Uttarayan complex and Visva Bharati, Shantiniketan doesn't have many noteworthy locations, hence it always appears on a list of things to do. Ballavpur Wildlife Sanctuary is not that far from Shantiniketan. just 1.5 km from the Visva Bharati University Campus and 3.0 km from Prantik Train Station. Really, there isn't much wildlife to observe. The deer park is one component. Although it is kept up reasonably well, it is plagued by irresponsible visitors who like ignoring the obvious written warnings. At feeding time, you can view a lot of spotted deers (around 1 in the afternoon). A peacock was just introduced to this wildlife refuge. There are a few watchtowers that overlook a sizable lake. This body of water appears appealing, but much of it is hidden by green muck. The teenagers enjoy climbing the watchtowers. In order to stop crowds from entering and endangering the species, the rails inside the park are typically heavily wired off. It's wonderful to witness such luxuriant vegetation. Take a leisurely stroll while taking in the tranquil surroundings. Long forest treks are worthwhile. You can enter the sanctuary from a different side of the water body. A tiny museum and a few scathed tourist-friendly buildings are located in this area. More mud is seen on this side of the lake.
