We stayed along the route at Wabi Sabi Hostel, right on the banks of the Parvati River. This location gave us direct access to the trek and made it easy to immerse ourselves in the peaceful surroundings. The cold climate of the region was perfect, offering a refreshing break from the heat of the cities. The trek is dotted with pine trees, and the mountains in the background add to the stunning landscape. The sunsets and sunrises along the route are nothing short of magical. As the sun rises or sets behind the mountains, the entire sky lights up in shades of orange and pink, reflecting off the river and creating a breathtaking view that’s worth the early wake-up or late stay. Along the way, you’ll encounter a few small settlements and cafes, where you can grab a bite or have a drink if you feel hungry or thirsty. The route is well-marked and frequented by locals, making it safe and easy to navigate. The people of Kasol are incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready with a smile or a helping hand, adding to the charm of the entire experience. As you approach Chalal village, the trail opens up to reveal quaint wooden houses that transport you back in time, offering a glimpse into a simpler, more rustic way of life. Chalal is a tiny village near Kasol. Feel welcomed as you are greeted by the majestic mountains, sounds of the gushing river, chirping of birds, and long stretches of Marijuana fields. By the way, Marijuana cultivation is a prime occupation of the villagers of Chalal. Apart from Weed cultivation, Chalal is also known for its trance and psychedelic parties. Walk for a short while to arrive at the campsite. Settle by the riverside and enjoy the greenery around. Relax for a while and relish a delicious breakfast served to you. Once you feel refreshed, get set for an exciting trekking time. As you walk through the lanes of Kasol towards Chalal, witness the numerous Israeli cafes and shops. If interested, you might as well purchase your souvenirs from here. Continue walking towards Chalal, quite popular for its trance and psychedelic parties. This trek, from Kasol to Chalal, is a short one and will last for about 2 hours, with short halts in between. Later in the evening, you must return to the campsite. If you're visiting Kasol and are there for multiple days then often you will find yourself having nothing to do more. This trek is a relatively easier trek and I would recommend every visitor for taking it. There will be many spots where you can sit on gigantic stones very close to the river and enjoy the peace. Also this trek is famous for Hash peddlers whom you will find very frequently while walking. Beware of scams though i.e. don't ever pay the money in advance. Personally I think it's one of the very things you can do in Kasol. If you are here for more number of days or want more adventure then go to Tosh as it is way higher than Kasol and offers stunning view of snow laden mountains.

The chalal trek trail starts from this bridge which stands on parvati river in parvati valley. It's hardly 100 metres away from the bus stop of Kasol. Right along the trail, there is this beautiful parvati valley, loosen up your shoes pit your feet into it and relax, one can easily sit whole day here. The sound of the river smashing the larger stones and the clarity and the purity of the water is absolutely mesmerizing.. The trail is simple walk and very easy takes around 40 minutes (with ni stop) to reach the chalal village. There is nothing to view from the village. But yes, there are few cafes along the way, so guys can chill and spend some time in peace.

Come to see the beautiful Chalal. An iron bridge connects Chalal to Kasol. It's almost a walk of 1.5-2 km alongside the beautiful Parvati river. You can find a few chai tapris, a couple of houses with few shops. You can sit for a bonfire in any of those shops during the evening. The vibe is just beautiful and pahadis are just Lovable beings. They love dogs. You can go for a Trek early in the morning or in the evening to get a better view coz in the sun you may get tired. Chalal is very small and very beautifully settled alongside the Parvati river. If you are visiting Kasol, then You must walk towards Chalal too.
