A local Cafe in the main market of Kasol. Built on the riverside, It has a nice view. There is a German Bakery built inside it too. It offers various types of bakery products ready to eat, such as Nutella Crossants, Chocolate Balls, Butter Cheese Cakes, Banana Pies, Strawberry Pies, etc. One can find these kind of bakeries at every 100m in the main market of Kasol. Tourists, especially Foreigners love eating from these Food outlets. The Cafe offers various other dishes too. The Main Course Items are a bit costlier as compared to the other food outlets in the main Market, but the food is hygienic. One has a lot to choose from the Menu. The seating space is more than sufficient. It is divided into 3 zones. The first zone is covered area on the extreme left of the cafe. The covering is not of permanent type, but rather a tent. But what is best in this zone is the scenic beauty it offers to the visitors. The Parvati River is flowing just next to its boundary. The cool breeze makes a great combination while eating in this zone. The 2nd zone is in the Right of Cafe. This is a covered zone too. It has a permanent roof. Though the zone has a confined space and could not accommodate much visitors. The zone is made in the side Balcony of the German Bakery. The 3rd zone, however is the uncovered one. This zone lies between the rest two zones. Visitors can enjoy having breakfast in the cool weather and beautiful mornings. But, being uncovered, this zone would not be recommended during bad weather. All together, it is a cool space to hangout with your friends after a nice Trekk in the...
Read moreKasol is full of delightful culinary surprises, and Moon Dance stands out as a true gem. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed, especially with their diverse menu and exceptional flavors.
Chicken Tikka Pizza: This pizza is an absolute winner. The combination of tender chicken tikka pieces with a perfectly crispy crust and a rich, tangy tomato sauce was simply irresistible. The spices were spot on, making each bite a flavorful journey.
Hummus Chicken: This dish was a delightful fusion of creamy hummus and succulent chicken. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the hummus added a smooth, rich texture that complemented the dish beautifully. It was a refreshing and satisfying choice.
Baked Chicken Penne: The baked chicken penne was a comforting, hearty dish that didn’t disappoint. The penne was cooked al dente, and the cheesy, creamy sauce was packed with flavor. The baked chicken added a deliciously tender touch to the overall dish.
Main Course - Dal Makhni & Naan: The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the dal makhni. Rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor, it was the best I’ve ever had. Paired with soft, buttery naan, it was pure bliss. I loved it so much that I found myself returning to Moon Dance just for the dal makhni four out of the seven days I stayed in Kasol. It was that good!
If you’re in Kasol, Moon Dance is a must-visit. Their food is a delightful blend of rich flavors and top-notch quality, making every meal a...
Read moreMy recent visit to MoonDance was incredibly disappointing. From start to finish, everything was subpar, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
First, the ambiance was unpleasant. The lighting was too bright, the tables were too close together, and the music was too loud. The decor was outdated and unappealing, and the overall atmosphere felt uninviting.
Next, the service was slow and inattentive. Our server seemed disinterested and was not very helpful in answering our questions about the menu. It took an unreasonable amount of time for our food to arrive, and when it did, it was cold and unappetizing. The portion sizes were small, and the presentation was lackluster.
The food itself was a major letdown. The flavors were bland, and everything tasted as if it had been reheated in a microwave. The ingredients were low quality and seemed to lack freshness. The menu was limited, and the dishes were uninspired and unoriginal.
To make matters worse, the prices were high, given the poor quality of the food and service. Overall, I would not recommend Moondance to anyone, and I would suggest looking elsewhere for a better...
