Panjtara Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Himachal Pradesh

The biggest problem with this place is the staff. They completely ignore you even if you are on the table for 10 mins and the restaurant is almost empty. They keep running around but never come to you with the menu.

I won't say Panchtara is too overpriced considering this is a tourist location and its hard to arrange everything in the mountain regions. But they fail to maintain their food quality standards according to their price. I had ordered noodles. When it was served, it was too salty and hard to eat. I returned it and then the waiter brought a new plate of noodles. It was clearly visible that the noodes used was very old and they had simply heated up the noodle in the oven using the same serving bowl. The noodle tasted very bland and I was doubtful if I must eat it. After coming home, by night my stomach was upset. Serious loose motion and and high fever. I can't think of any other reasonto get food poisoning.

The sauce they have kept in the table caddle is over expiry and they haven't changed it. They seem to simply fill local sauce in branded sauce bottles and keep.it on the table.

The main problem with this restaurant is its poor workforce. The owner has a built a nice place but he has chosen to keep poor staff. The sad part is this restaurant will be packed even if they keep the standards so low. The reason is that there is no other restaurant as a good competitor. People visit panchtara because they serve alcohol and also have enough seats and live music. Restaurants like these are truly bringing down the hospitality standards of Kasol. They are taking advantage of customers inability to find another such restaurant with bar and vast food options and seating.

Changing the staff/fixing the staff attitude, maintaining strict food quality standards and offering some good feedback to the chef is what this restaurant needs. They have kept random things in the restaurant menu which the chef has no idea to make.

As a restaurant owner, the very basic thing you have to do is taste all the dishes on your menu and then finalise it. Don't run a restaurant business just for the sake of earnign crores of money. Try to respect your customers and don't play with them just because you know your restaurant is themost popular now and has a bar. I am suffering from high fever and food poisoning and your food is the cause for this. And please ask your staff to bring down their attitude a bit. They are after all just some ordinary people who have come here to work in the mountains because they had no other option in life. Being humble is what they should learn first.
