Spent about roughly 5 hours yesterday in this beautiful, scenic cafe of Kasol and I am writing this today on 2nd Aug as I've reached Delhi couple of hours ago.

Location: The entrance of this cafe is on the left hand side (if walking towards manikaran gurudwara). It's in the main market of Kasol, the lane right before the garden on your left where you have to walk about 100-200mtrs. to reach this beautiful cafe. Wonderful decor, beautifully kept and of course the nature adds the rest to the cafe giving THE BEST VIEW IN KASOL!

Staff: since I was there for couple of hours I happen to interact with couple of staff members and all of them are very professional, friendly and helpful.

Food: I reached this place during the lunch but I decided to start with a cold coffee, followed by a pasta, couple more americanos and a chicken cheese fries to end the night with.

I would like to start with something that I observed that they serve regular dinking water (RO water) so of course it's clean and they're not using bottled water which is great.

Moving on to my oders I can say that this is THE BEST COFFEE PLACE IN KASOL. My first coffee was a cold coffee and I asked him not to make it extra sweet and they got me something which was truly enjoyable. I loved it. Then I had couple of iced americanos and they were again amazing so if you truly a coffee lover and you happen to come to Kasol, you can not miss this place.

After my first coffee I ordered aglio-olio pasta. The pasta was al-dante (and not over-cooked) I was happy to see that but that's it. It was a salted pasta tossed in some oil (I can't say if it was good olive oil because there was no fragrance of olive oil. I could see chopped garlic but it was not cooked in the oil so it leaves the aroma and that is the whole point of this dish. The bread that was served with pasta was not toasted properly and was cold. I am sorry but The pasta looked depressing.

My last order was cheesy chicken fries and it was not worth 250rupees it was regular fries with some dried chicken breast pieces (dried coz the chicken was overcooked) and definitely no presentation at all.

The kind of place they're running is amazing but they seriously have to look into the kitchen as they have zero presentation skills whatsoever and they should also do random food tastings because it was not great!

Other then that location amazing, great coffee...

Title: A Delightful Experience by the Riverside

Review:

Nestled beside a serene river, Off Limit restaurant offers a dining experience that combines natural beauty with fine cuisine. The location itself is undeniably one of the restaurant's strongest selling points. With a picturesque view of the flowing water and a calming atmosphere, it sets the stage for a truly memorable meal.

When it comes to the food and beverage offerings, Off Limit manages to satisfy even the most discerning palate. The menu features a variety of delectable dishes prepared with utmost care and attention to detail. From fresh seafood delicacies to succulent steaks, each plate is crafted with a harmonious blend of flavors that leave a lasting impression. The restaurant's beverage selection is equally impressive, with a diverse array of wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options to complement the dining experience.

While the quality of the food and the beautiful setting contribute to the overall ambiance, it is worth noting that Off Limit leans towards the expensive side. However, considering the exceptional location and the culinary excellence provided, the higher price point is justifiable for those seeking a truly special dining experience.

The atmosphere at Off Limit is elegant and refined, yet manages to maintain a welcoming and relaxed ambiance. The staff members are attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall positive dining experience. Whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a gathering with friends and family, Off Limit offers an environment that caters to various occasions.

In conclusion, Off Limit restaurant's location beside the river creates a stunning backdrop for a memorable dining experience. The food and beverages are of high quality, satisfying even the most discerning taste buds. While the prices may be on the higher side, the overall atmosphere and attentive service make it well worth the cost. If you're looking for a special dining experience in a breathtaking setting, Off Limit is definitely...

I don't generally write long and negative reviews, but this place has forced me to.

Here are the reasons I would not recommend this so called "Viral" and "Instagrammable" cafe to anyone visiting Kasol -

Rude staff

The manager, the waiters, the cleaners, everyone is simply rude. They don't care about your convenience or your comfort.

They act like its a luxury to visit their cafe, and if you don't like it you can just leave.

They have taken the crowd coming through their Instagram virality for granted. They know that as soon as you leave, someone else will acquire your table.

What they fail to understand is that virality ends. It's the legacy you create that makes people come back. This cafe doesn't, and will never have a legacy if they continue this behaviour.

Terrible food

We tried the Pizza, Frappe and KitKat Shake (I don't consume Hemp, so if you're looking that, please refer to some other review).

The drinks were practically watered down and tasted awful. I am not exaggerating when I say that I haven't had a coffee this terrible in my entire life, that too after paying Rs. 320+taxes.

The Pizza was bland, the crust was hard, the cheese felt low quality.

Why they have such high prices? I have no idea.

The taste clearly does not justify it.

Virality

I would like to say this directly to the owner and staff of this cafe - Merely being viral on Instagram does not guarantee a positive experience.

It is crucial to offer not only visually appealing settings (which they do) but also good hospitality and high-quality food (which was nowhere to be found).

Humility and attentiveness towards customers are essential for building a lasting reputation.

Summing up,

I will never visit this cafe again. And I'm certain that if I were to express my dissatisfaction to their staff, they would respond with indifference, saying, "We don't care. Someone else will come."

And that right there is...

If you're in Kasol and looking for a place with good vibes, great music, and a view that makes you want to stay a little longer, Offlimits Café should definitely be on your list. It’s right by the river, and the mix of chilled-out music and warm, earthy decor really sets the mood for a relaxed meal. I tried five dishes here: Turkish Chicken Pizza – This was the highlight. The crust was soft, the sauce was rich, and the toppings were cooked just right. The chicken had great flavor, and the cheese melted perfectly into everything. Margherita Pizza (infused with hemp) – A thin crust pizza that kept it simple and tasty. The tomato base really stood out – fresh and tangy, not the usual bland kind you often get. Pink Sauce Pasta (Veg) – Super fresh and creamy, with a good balance between tomato and cream. You can tell they used good quality ingredients here. It wasn’t overly heavy, which I appreciated. Chicken Shawarma – Unfortunately, this one didn’t land. It felt stale and too oily, so I had to return it. The staff was polite about it, though. Mushroom Tikka – Surprisingly good. Full of flavor, nicely grilled, and the laccha onions on the side really took it up a notch. A great vegetarian option even for meat lovers. Overall, the place has a great vibe and a few dishes that are definitely worth coming back for. If you're in Kasol, it’s a spot I’d recommend checking out—especially if you grab a table near the river.
