I happened to visit wax museum at Jaipur with children yesterday. The ticket costs Rs500 for adult and mobile photography is not allowed. After wax statues, we were asked to wait for 15 min for entry to sheesh Mahal. After the waiting time, when the door was opened, given to two option to play the audio either in Hindi or English. I had family members who could not follow hindi was i told them English will be my choice, for this a gentleman from the crowd said that " everybody should know Hindi" and to my surprise the audio started playing on Hindi. this discrimination spoiled the whole mood of the trip. Mr KrishnaKumar first asked me to wait again another 10 to 15 mins to get a chance to play the audio in English. There is no respect for customers time. He did not provide his supervisors number and was very rude to me. Later on the request of other visitors, he played the audio in English. Even at the ticket counter, when i complained about this, they were not really keen to listen as they are busy counting 💰. Wax museum is ok but nothing for children, sheesh Mahal is simply waste of money and time.

Edit: Thank you for the response. For your kind information, there were 10 people present at that time and we were the majority requesting for the English audio to be played. How is it that 4 kids and a woman's request was completely shut down and ignored when no other individual were asked to voice their opinions? Your staff should have fairly judged the vote by asking all of the group members and then deciding which audio to play based on the evident majority. Seeing to it that the operators listened to the single man who rashly spoke against us, we inevitably felt that there was an upper hand to him. Be mindful that you are curtailing to the international customers, as well as South Indians who may not be well-versed in Hindi. Make it a priority to properly train your staff to be sensible and respectful to every single person who steps into this tourist attraction. We felt that there was unfair discrimination to 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣, eager 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙣-𝙃𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙨 who were patiently waiting to enter. There should have been an understanding that language barriers exist and that the woman was very much struggling to help the 4 children to understand what the speaker was saying. In the end the audio was played, but this was after multiple protests to the staff's unreasonable option of waiting 10 more minutes for it. Again, we were the majority, and the others were not asked to speak up. Please reconsider your reply. The bigotry that unraveled in Sheesh Mahal, Nahargarh Fort, is absolutely...

Jaipur Wax Museum at Nahargarh Fort is well-regarded for its life-like wax statues of national and international personalities and the attached Sheesh Mahal, which offers an immersive experience of royal Rajasthan. Statues are highly realistic and thoughtfully themed, with each figure set in a context for better understanding •The museum includes icons such as Amitabh Bachchan, Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, and Michael Jackson .•Sheesh Mahal extension impresses with ornate mirror work, reviving the aura of Rajputana royalty. •Entry fee is relatively high (Rs. 500 per person), with additional charges for photographs, which is expensive. •Museum quality, ambiance, and staff is helpful & curteous , though not very large; best for history and culture enthusiasts. •Photography by visitors is restricted; museum photographer service is offered for extra cost. • it is overpriced. •Overall, Jaipur Wax Museum is considered a must-visit for tourists interested in art, history, and culture.
