Two hours drive from Borivali out of which 45 min drive on state highway, road is extremely good. You have to climb a Ghat which has 180 degree turns. It's a clean beach with no plastic seen on the sand. Partially silver sand which gives feel of Goan beaches. It's a huge beach and the curvature of it and Suru trees give feel of Radhanagar beach of Andaman Less people visit it and crowd is mostly from Mumbai and few locals. It has spacious parking. Entry fee is 5 rupees per person, looking at cleanliness of the beach it is worth paying. Horse carts and camels will keep children entertained. Water is muddy but non smelly. Washroom is in Mandir premises, ok ok maintained, charged rupees 2 per person. Many food stall along the road to the beach. No hawkers on beach expect few photographers. Life guards are ways there, taking care of tourists safety.
Beware of - Drunken people, mostly locals on the beach. Sharp turns 180 degrees Night time travel as there is no light on the road and number of vehicles passing are very less. Fox are routinely seen on roads. Pani Puri at beach can make you sick.
