Patilwadi Resort — Hotel in Maharashtra

If you are looking to chill over the weekend or even a weekday and not wanting to travel far but just a 2 or max 2 and a half hours drive from Mumbai, this is the place you should pin on your map!

Close to Kelwa Beach, this resort is superb. Gives you a fresh feeling, has fancy rooms even for a bigger group. Board games, volleyball, badminton, cricket is what you can play. Jhoola, hammock to do a perfect stargazing at night. Plan to go on winters and the Hosts are generous enough to help you setup a bonfire.

But let me touch upon the three main aspects of why I would love to give more than five out of five stars to this place:

Brilliant host! They make you feel homely and will try to arrange everything they possibly could to meet our adhoc needs. Need a cup of hot water, they'll give it. Need an extra table in the room, they would give it. Need a vehicle, they'll arrange it.

Private Beach Access. You don't have to use the public entrance to Kelwa Beach because you have your own! You can chill at night on the beach stargazing and have fun with the lovely sports activities at the beach since morning - be it speed boat, camel or horse ride, ride a buggy or simply carry cricket stuff and play a match on the beach. Enjoy the lovely sunset, come back at the resort, order Tea and hot Wada Paav. As mentioned in point 1, the host will arrange it to you.

Foooood - Third and the most important indeed. Trust me, never had chapati like thin, tastiest Rice Bhakris like this ever in my life. They get it from Women Self Help group in Kelwe thus making sure Locals are getting rewarded for their jobs. But wait, let's talk about the lip smacking items in their Kitchen. Veg, Non-veg, Jain, Half-Jain, you specify them your requirements and they'll make it for you. Village style, home made masalas, spicy as per your needs, you are truly going to enjoy the 'Vadval' delicacies. Fresh, Tasty and Delicious.

Not at all recommended to anyone. I went here by seeing photos and reading reviews from google but it was very bad experience . Owner advertises he has clean rooms and good food but we were in first floor room and in that room roof was broken and dust was falling in bed. On roof it is pigeons area and full night pigeon kept making noise.We checked in at evening and from evening itself voltage fluctuation was there continuously lights were on and off . We informed owner but he said it will solve but it didn’t . He just came and gave us dinner in that typical steel wala 4 layer Dabba and went to his home. Full night there was no staff to attend any issue or support guests. We even called Mr. Patil to inform that power fluctuation is still on and but he didn’t received our call and he neither bother to call back us. Rooms have no safety grills on windows and even locks of windows are not proper anyone can open it from outside backside is completely open anyone can easily come inside room. Very much pathetic service. Charges they are charging around 2200 for non AC room per person but it’s very much costlier compared to service , room quality and food they served. They simply scammed us. For family or couples this not at all recommended because here no safety at all. Literally I felt this was haunted place as we only two living in resort and whole night power was switching on and off with time interval of 5-8 secs . No security guard no care taker person available in night . Very much disappointment. It was worst experience ever . I have travelled a lot with many places but never had such bad experience in...

The most plus point of this resort is the direct access to Sea from within it through beautiful casurina garden.The Sea is accessible twenty four hours from this place to you and you have the privilege to view the sky throughout the night. You can view the yearly meteor fall from this place without obstructions. This is the only resort where those who wish to enjoy on the natural soil with surrounding coconut trees can come and experience themselves.There are two new rooms built wherefrom one can view and enjoy the beautiful casurina garden and hear the wonderful sounds of sea waves as well as melodious songs and sounds of various birds. The place is decorated on the days of Christmas, New Year day, Republic Day, Independence day, Ganpati Festival, Diwali Festival and on so many other occasions when one can enjoy and experience the extra ordinary Joy with musical entertainment.The food served is hygienic and fresh from the farm or sea and the most tasteful in the area.
