Shyambazar Joy Kali Bari — Attraction in Kolkata

Temple is nice and it's a historical place. Some devotees said Goddess Kali is known as Joy Kali 🙏 and some devotees said she is known as Maa Siddheshwari Kali. Well overall she is Mistress of Panchmatha More ( five ways crossing point) Shyambazar Maa Kali 🙏. Few devotees become aggressive and they think they are the manager of that temple so they behaved quite rudely even the temple priest also behaved irritating manner but it happens only at the evening aarti time but after the temple from inside became vacant they will turned themselves like a chameleon, means they are the peace ✌️ lover , they have plenty of times and they are the most gentle and generous in nature. Many of them behaved rudely with me and my mother, so please be careful if anyone from your family is physically ill or they have problems with their knees back, hips and ankles pain then don't visit the temple at aarti time because you have to suffer rudeness & harshness. My mother face difficulty while sitting or getting up from the floor but they were behaving in awkward way and mine toe nail also broke while having the darshan of Maa Kali they will behave in such a way that they are the special devotees of Maa Kali and they manage the whole temple by her order. So ,one well behaved lady living at the neighborhood she told us that she lives in this residential area but she also has to face the same rude behaviour every time at evening aarti and she also suggested us to come after Sandhya aarti because I was facing difficulty while clicking the photo of Maa Kali 🙏 and after 15 minutes of rush, preference (the known devotees, they give special treatment to the known devotees because when I and other two elder women were having darshan there was no one in the gents side so we decided to have darshan from that side but the old man started ordering us to go the ladies side, seriously but after five minutes one old woman came for the puja and darshan from that same gents side that old man said nothing to her,so it's a clear partiality) and rudeness. So overall, don't care about the other devotees just remember goddess is the one who control and manage the whole universe and its her temple, just surrender yourself to Maa Kali 🙏 she will call you near her idol to have her darshan in her own way just have patience and trust Maa Kali 🙏. Shyambazar Joy Kalibari is a Kali temple located on Jessore Road near Shyambazar five point crossing. The temple is said to be over 300 years old. The idol of Goddess Kali, the divine mother, in the temple inspire the devotees of devotion, purity and perseverance for achieving higher goals of life. Arrangement for offering Puja to the Maa Kali is available in the temple. This temple in general opens at 6:00 am in the morning and closes around 1:00 pm. Then opens again 4:00 pm and closes around 10:00 pm in the night.Here the Divine goddess is also regarded and addressed as Maa Bipantarini Kali and is an ideal place for meditation and hassle free darshan and devotion for a Shakti Bhakt. The trustee is “ Sevayat” of the temple is very cordial n well mannered and one finds satisfaction after offering puja to this temple as the pandit or Purohit listens to the devotees urge and offers their puja to the goddess as they wish to. There is hardly anyone I’ve personally come across who is dissatisfied after a visit to this old heritage temple in Kolkata which still stands as a live symbol which has seen the city’s glorious past and many renown personalities like the freedom fighters , Rishi Aurobindo, Sri Sri Thakur Ramakrishna paramhansa and many more !
