Mahabaleshwar ( City of strawberry 🍓) is the one of the best places I have visited in Maharashtra. You can come here by taking a bus from Pune or Surur. While traveling in a bus it is better to take a right side window seat...so u can see the mesmerizing view of the Valleys. When u reach here in the monsoon season u are welcomed by a town full of fog. A very usual crowded market. Parking is very nicely arranged at the start of the market near the petrol pump and opposite to cafe peter. Parking charges are 40/- for 2 hours. There is a temple inside the main Street which is very serene. Local shopping can be done here offcourse with the skills of bargaining as the price variant is huge. There is a small setup of Mapro and Mala sellpoint which provide discounts as per the trends. Sweaters , caps, shawls etc can be taken from the market. There are a very few shops to collect momentos and some gift items. Fruits are very expensive so recommended not to buy from here. For example you can get strawberry from the road side vendors also and they are equally tasty and juicy and come with a great price like 150/- kg( in May 2022). Overall a good place to chill out and some shopping. At the end there is a small church worth visiting. Do try strawberry cream and basundi chai at the road side. It's tasty. There are lot of options for veg and non veg food. The ones near the parking is excellent and...
