I recently visited Café Peter after seeing numerous glowing reviews from influencers on YouTube, but my experience was far from the hype.
Ambience: The setting was quite underwhelming—a few tables cramped into a small, poorly decorated room with dark, uninviting decor. There was no staff managing the seating, so people just grabbed any available spot. Despite arriving first, we watched others who came after us walk right in and take the empty tables. Eventually, we opted to sit outside, which was acceptable due to the pleasant weather, though the loud, blaring music did little to enhance the atmosphere.
Service: The service was the worst part of the experience. The staff seemed eager to rush us out as soon as we placed our order. They were quick to clear our plates the moment we asked for the bill, so don’t settle your check until you’re completely done with your meal. Strangely, the same staff were nowhere to be found when we needed water or a menu. The wait to place our order was lengthy, and there was no effort to make us feel welcome—not even a smile. A major disappointment.
Food: The food was just okay. I ordered a mocha frappe, classic pancakes, gochujang ramyeon (which turned out to be little more than Maggi noodles with cheese and some sweet chili sauce), two of the thinnest slices of garlic bread, and hot chocolate that was overly sweet.
Cleanliness: The place didn’t appear very clean, and I didn’t dare use the washroom, suspecting it would be just as unhygienic. As a female tourist, I spared myself the ordeal.
Parking: There’s a paid parking area next to the café, charging ₹100 per car, which seemed a bit steep.
Overall: It’s not a place worth the hype. Don’t set your expectations too high, as they’re likely to be dashed. It’s just another run-of-the-mill spot, far from the glowing reviews you see in those...
Read moreGathered around a table at Cafe Peter, our group of four embarked on a culinary adventure, eager to explore the diverse offerings of this cozy establishment. Our meal began with the Veg Exotica Pizza, a tantalizing medley of fresh vegetables and aromatic herbs atop a perfectly baked crust. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, leaving us craving more.
Next, we dove into the Korean Soupy Ramen, a steaming bowl of comfort that warmed both body and soul. The rich broth, combined with tender noodles and savory vegetables, transported us to the bustling streets of Seoul with its authentic taste.
As if that wasn't enough, we indulged in the Cream Cheese Garlic Ramen, a delightful fusion of creamy cheese and robust garlic flavors. The velvety texture of the broth was a luxurious treat for our taste buds, making this dish an instant favorite.
To round off our feast, we savored the Poutine with fries, a hearty Canadian classic that did not disappoint. The crisp fries smothered in savory gravy and cheese curds were the ultimate comfort food, perfect for sharing and savoring with friends.
Washing down our meal was the Rise Up Kombucha drink, a refreshing and invigorating beverage that perfectly complemented our diverse selection of dishes. The tangy-sweet flavor of the kombucha was a delightful palate cleanser, leaving us feeling refreshed and satisfied.
Throughout our meal, the service was impeccable, with the staff attentive to our every need. The ambiance of the cafe was warm and inviting, adding to the overall dining experience.
One thing to note is that there is no parking facility at Cafe Peter. The only available option is paid parking nearby, which costs Rs. 100. Despite this minor inconvenience, our experience at Cafe Peter was truly memorable, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and satisfying...
