Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has come up with a new beach in Mumbai by dividing the existing Versova beach into two parts. The purpose to divide is to enhanced the beauty of the beach and attract more visitors to the place. With this, two beaches Versova beach and Andheri (West) beach are formed that are gaining high attention for domestic and international visitors. Before forming the new beach, MTDC has clear consultation from the concerned departments and locals.

As per report, the main intention is to make it an attractive tourist spot where several entertaining and adventurous water sport facilities will be provided. The officials said that water sport facilities are likely to be operating by the end of this year. The plan is formed to introduce water sports, a marina and an eatery. Further, MTDC is also planning to build broad walk that will connect Andheri and Juhu beaches. The plans are already formed and concerned department has been assigned the beautifications task.
