Model Colony Lake — Attraction in Pune

This loc has a beautiful small pond (whichis incorrectly mentioned as a lake in Model Colony). The pond is maintained by Pune Mahanagar Palika. The moment you enter this bounded location from the main gate you will be greeted by the beautiful quaking 8 white ducks🙂. There you have to pay 5 rs/pers as entry fee to the watchman over there. The pond has a fountain as well at one of the corner inside the pond (which is obviously inaccessible 😂). There is also a small island with a lone tree on it. That tree seems to be the sleeping spot for other small ducks and 🐦 🦃. 🦉. There is a small semi circular path for walking and strolling for us. A beautiful artificial waterfall also a feather in the cap of this small park. A nice and quite place to hangout with your partner (so basicallyit makes it a livera spot). Even elderly people visit this place for morning and evening walks. A blessing for the model...

This places is very silent and good for people who love to write or draw. The surrounding is very beautiful and its worth spending time there. I would have given 4 star but the place is not maintained, they charge Rs.5 per person for the park but it doesn't seem to be maintained at all. The water is very dirty and it doesn't have shades or shacks but benches. Don't go during rain. Or carry umbrella or raincoat during...

Lakaki talav....I have been to this place several times with kids and friends. Very well maintained place, ducks are nice and friendly....though less in number than before. Fishes are there too.. Few different varieties of birds are there.. Artificially constructed waterfall and fountain are special attraction for kids. One can also feed the ducks and fishes... Love visiting this place over...
