Japanese Park in Sector 10, Rohini, Delhi, is a public park that has fallen into a state of disrepair. The park is once vibrant green spaces are now patchy, litter ihazards, including uneven pathways, old and broken playground equipment, and a lack of proper lighting. The State of the Park : The park's pathways are once smooth and inviting, are now uneven and littered with debris, making it challenging for visitors to navigate safely and comfortably. The once vibrant green spaces are now patchy and overgrown, detracting from the overall aesthetic appeal of the park. The water bodies, which were once a source of delight and tranquility, are now murky and neglected. The absence of proper upkeep has resulted in the accumulation of algae and debris, making the water unsuitable for boating or even simply admiring from a distance. The children's play area, which should be a haven of fun and laughter, is now a source of concern. The equipment is old and in disrepair, posing potential safety hazards to young visitors. The lack of regular maintenance has also resulted in the accumulation of dirt and grime, making the area unhygienic and unattractive. The park's toilets are in a deplorable state. They are filthy, smelly, and lack basic amenities such as soap and toilet paper. The lack of proper maintenance has also resulted in the accumulation of waste and debris, making the toilets unusable. The Impact on Visitors : The park's current state of disrepair is having a negative impact on visitors. The park is once a popular destination for families and children, is now a place that many people avoid. The litter, debris, and unsafe conditions make it difficult to enjoy the park's amenities. The park's lack of cleanliness is also a major concern for visitors. The litter and debris make the park an unhygienic and unpleasant place to be. The dirty toilets are also a major health hazard. What Needs to be Done : The park's current state of disrepair is a serious problem that needs to be addressed. The park authorities need to take immediate action to clean up the park and make it safe for visitors. They need to remove the litter and debris, repair the damaged equipment, and clean the toilets. The park authorities also need to develop a plan for the long-term maintenance of the park. This plan should include regular cleaning, repairs, and upgrades. It should also include a plan for addressing the park's water quality issues. The park's current state of disrepair is a major disappointment to visitors. The park authorities need to take immediate action to address the problem and make the park a safe and enjoyable place for everyone. Recommendations : - The park authorities should hire more staff to clean and maintain the park. - The park authorities should install more trash cans and recycling bins. - The park authorities should create a plan for the long-term maintenance of the park. - The park authorities should work with the local community to develop a plan for the park's future. Conclusion : Japanese Park in Sector 10, Rohini, Delhi, has the potential to be a beautiful and enjoyable park. However, the park's current state of disrepair is making it difficult for visitors to enjoy its amenities. The park authorities need to take immediate action to address the problem and make the park a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.

This is a landmark project of the Delhi Development Authority. The Park is very huge in size and is spread over a radius of nearly two miles. There are four main entries to the park with each one having facilities for parking. The parking is available here and it is free. As soon as we enter the gate, we have a sprawling green area with trees and shrubs, jogging tracks, play areas all around and an open Jim to facilitate everyone for exercise and physical activity. There are a few ponds with ducks and a beautiful lake. There, the boating has been discontinued for some security reasons. There are lots of fountains and a number of hutments which can accommodate at least 10-15 odd people each. They come handy when there are rains. The gardens are well maintained and landscaping is marvellous. It is a very serene place for the old people. In the morning as well as in the evening hours people come for a walk and for jogging, doing different physical activities and playing.

This beautiful park is a haven for fitness enthusiasts, nature lovers, and romantic couples alike. The running track is well-maintained, making it perfect for jogging and running. The outdoor gym is also a great addition, with a variety of equipment for a full-body workout. I've even spotted cricket matches being played on the lush green fields - a great way to spend a weekend! But what I love most about this park is its tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for romantic strolls and picnics. Love birds, take note! The boating facility on the serene lake is a lovely addition, allowing you to enjoy quality time with your partner. Regardless of age, this park has something for everyone. I've seen families with kids, young couples, and even solo visitors enjoying the peaceful ambiance. Kudos to the authorities for maintaining this park so beautifully! If you're looking for a escape from the hustle and bustle of Delhi, Japanese Park is a must-visit.

Swarn Jayanti Park, popularly known as Japanese Park, is a beautiful and expansive green oasis located in Sector 10, Rohini, New Delhi. Spanning over 250 acres, it stands as one of the largest and most well-maintained parks in the capital city, attracting locals and tourists alike who seek a tranquil retreat away from the urban hustle.

The park was established in 1997 to commemorate India’s Golden Jubilee of Independence (Swarn Jayanti), hence the name. Since then, it has become a favored destination for family outings, morning walkers, joggers, fitness enthusiasts, and nature lovers. The park is managed and maintained by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), ensuring lush greenery, clean surroundings, and wonderful recreational facilities.

One of the defining features of Swarn Jayanti Park is its design inspired by Japanese landscaping principles. The park’s beautiful gardens, serene lakes, and scenic walking trails offer visitors a picturesque environment for relaxation and leisure. The Japanese influence is visible in the manicured gardens with ornamental plants, koi fish ponds, stone lanterns, and elegant pagodas that add cultural charm to the natural setting.

Swarn Jayanti Park boasts two large lakes that enhance its scenic appeal, attracting a variety of water birds and fish, which delight bird watchers and nature enthusiasts. Visitors often enjoy paddle boating on the lakes, adding a serene recreational experience. The presence of ducks and other birds near the waterbodies provides peaceful moments for visitors to enjoy the harmony of nature.

For fitness lovers, the park offers well-paved jogging and walking tracks surrounded by beautifully maintained lawns and trees that provide shade and fresh air. An open-air gym is available for exercise enthusiasts, and spacious grounds accommodate yoga sessions and meditation groups, creating a vibrant community atmosphere in a natural setting.

Families with children find Swarn Jayanti Park to be an ideal outing spot as it features dedicated play areas equipped with swings, slides, and other recreational structures. The park also includes amenities such as a skating rink and a cricket pitch that encourage active engagement in sports and fun activities. Various benches and gazebos scattered throughout the park provide spots for rest and socializing.

Swarn Jayanti Park also hosts cultural events, exhibitions, fairs, and music performances occasionally, making it not only a place for recreation but also a hub for cultural activities in the Rohini locality. The park is lively, especially during the early mornings and evenings when the weather is pleasant, attracting crowds for walking, jogging, and social gatherings.

Location-wise, the park is easily accessible from Rohini West Metro Station on the Red Line, about 1.5 kilometers away, connected by local transport like auto-rickshaws and cycle-rickshaws. It also enjoys good connectivity through city bus routes.

Japanese Park in Delhi is a serene oasis nestled within the bustling city, offering a slice of Japan's tranquility and beauty right in the heart of India. As I entered the park, I was immediately captivated by the meticulous design and attention to detail that mirrored the aesthetics of traditional Japanese gardens.

The park's pristine pathways, adorned with vibrant cherry blossom trees, guided me through a landscape of perfectly manicured lawns, elegant stone lanterns, and peaceful koi ponds. The harmonious blend of lush greenery and meticulously placed rocks created a sense of balance and serenity that transported me to a different world.

One of the highlights of the park was the meticulously maintained Zen garden, a meditative space that invited visitors to reflect and find inner peace. As I sat on the wooden bench, surrounded by meticulously raked gravel patterns and carefully placed rocks, I couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over me.

Another notable feature was the charming tea house tucked away in a corner of the park. Stepping inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, with traditional Japanese decor and the aroma of freshly brewed green tea. It was the perfect spot to relax and appreciate the beauty of the surroundings.

The Japanese Park also offers a range of activities and events that showcase Japanese culture, such as bonsai exhibitions, Ikebana flower arrangement workshops, and traditional music performances. These experiences provided a deeper understanding and appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Japan.

Overall, my visit to the Japanese Park in Delhi was a truly enchanting experience. It's a place where one can escape the chaos of the city and find solace in the tranquility of nature. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat, an opportunity to immerse yourself in Japanese culture, or simply a place to reconnect with nature, the Japanese Park is a hidden gem...
