I recently visited the Exotic Bird Park at Kookyland and had a truly delightful experience. As soon as I walked in, I was struck by the vibrant colors and lively atmosphere of the park. The sheer variety of bird species on display was astounding - from majestic eagles and owls to playful parrots and lorikeets. The park's layout was well-designed, with spacious enclosures that allowed the birds to fly and interact with each other.
The staff at the park were knowledgeable and enthusiastic, eager to share interesting facts and insights about the different bird species. I was particularly impressed by the feeding demonstrations, which provided a unique opportunity to see the birds up close and learn about their feeding habits. The park's commitment to conservation and education was evident throughout, with informative signage and interactive exhibits.
One of the highlights of my visit was the walk-through aviary, where I could immerse myself among the birds and enjoy their songs and antics. The park's landscaping was beautiful, with lush vegetation and water features that created a naturalistic environment for the birds. I spent several hours exploring the park and took plenty of photos to remember my experience.
Overall, I highly recommend the Exotic Bird Park at Kookyland to anyone who loves birds or is simply looking for a fun and educational outing. While there were a few areas where the park could improve - such as providing more shade and seating - overall, it was a wonderful experience. With its stunning collection of bird species, engaging exhibits, and passionate staff, this park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and...
Read moreFirst of all, earth is not just for humans, but for birds and other living beings. Birds(other living beings)have to live in a natural environment. The management needs to understand this.
It might seem impressive for the visitors, but that is nothing important when compared to the right to freedom for the living exhibits there.
This doesn't seem to be a place for adoption or caring for animals. I don't care if it is money-minded as long as there is a minimum basic care for the birds/animals in there. However, that was not the case.
I visited this place for children, but it was heart-breaking to see a totally unhealthy environment. It was more an unhealthy environment when all animals are stuffed in a single place. There is a risk of diseases getting transmitted to humans(especially children). All, that I could see for the entry fee was: Closed, not well ventilated cages both for visitors as well as birds :-) over a very small area OVER-FEEDING of the animal exhibits Many birds seems unhealthy
Overall - not so impressive if we care for the birds and other living
Animal enthusiasts, Environmentalists and NGOs - Please save these animals and birds before many such impressive but cruel...
Read moreThe good reviews that this place received is mainly because people are excited about the birds and how they interacted with them. As a person who has been to other petting zoos and bird parks this is not a properly maintained place for animals. Many enclosures were small-the macaws' area had no perches and they were kept in very small metal cages. Ball pythons were kept in empty boxes without any hide space or substrate. The ferret enclosure reeked of urine and we could not stand the smell. There are a lot of conures, lorikeets and eclectus that people can feed which is the only exciting bit. It is ok for Rs.200 but the conditions are not up to the mark. Staff members make the visit feel like we have entered their homes. They need more training on how to be when visitors are around. While I understand that it is ok for a pet parent to talk or playfully hit or move the head of a macaw, it is not ok when a staff member does that in front of the visitors. It might be their tactic to make the visitor pay more (Rs.200 more if you want to pet or pose with animals) but it...
