Adyar Ananda Bhavan - A2B — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

This is my third number for a visit to this hotel. I travel with my two wheeler for last four years, every month and this is time my son in law took me there. How, the hell I missed it. Let me write,Salem to Bangalore highway 1st, Coimbatore to Karur 2nd, Coimbatore railway station 3rd, Metupalayam to Ooty 4th. Though, my experience with all this is EXCELLENT. FOR, it seems might be I have been to Metupalayam but didnot notice the name board for I dreamt of my Girl friend MORE. THAT very particular day, 25th Oct."22" we, my daughter, son, daughter and son in law, wife and me decided for a Ooty joy ride reached the hotel at 09.15 AM, there was heavy rush by the time we got our table it nearly 10 AM. We ordered, though rush the waiter came said that it will take 20 minutes to serve, we agreed, 6 people two tables apart. But food came late, Dosa was poor, missing Sambar. While waiting requested for tea, but it never came, dosa was absolutely poor. Poori was was very little potato masala, manager was rather POOR in controlling the staff the ladies did not heed to any request. IT WAS POOR AND PATHETIC CONDITION. Though, the hotel is good and the food is hygienic. Staff to my experience are very good, service is very good. Now, decided to visit again, as far as I know, that the day was too rushy and in- experience people will have the difficulty, atleast, the ladies who are the strength and some what backbone were not upto date, there was no smile in their face, if it was we could have waited more. Food was POOR that specific day. As per my experience, wife and me worked as Receptionist, cum kitchen supervisor, and bar manager for 3 years in Jharkhand Hotel Yuvraj in 1987 to 1992 and came back to my Motherland Coonoor, but my mother and father choose Coimbatore as favourite, for you can be employed and there was no scarcity. I love travelling on my two wheeler, last 35 years I am travelling on my two wheeler, do not take I just travel inside Coimbatore. From Coimbatore to and fro - Bangalore, Chennai, Tiruchengode, Salem, Eranakulam, Thiruvananthapuram. I hate buses. Eat at so many places. Still food at Kerala was the best. Masala dosa, Coimbatore, Beef and Paratha Kerala, itli Bangalore. I EAT ANYTHING. LIFE IS SMALL, ENJOY IT AND SHARE IT, BE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE ILL THOUGHT ON FOODS. I still give this hotel THUMBS UP, food is very good and affordable for middle class like US....

We went to the hotel with kid. Very poor service. First thing while taking order , the person told no poori, but next to our table they were eating while giving order we dint notice. So after asking the barrer seeing that he is telling, it's available. So I asked why you have told no , an irresponsible answer coming "so what" to the customer. Next thing we ordered veg noodles, in that only pepper was there and no vegetable was there and it was cooked in palm oil. The taste was totally worst. I asked regarding this , one person who is incharge told ok we won't put bill. When I went to pay the bill I asked the person to call manager, manager is telling that , " simply she is shouting" . I and my husband got angry to the core after saying this answer. I told I will raise complaint and spread this over social media,he is telling ok go and do. So I actually have recorded the video and photos of food. So I am going to raise complaint in national consumer forum and as well as food corporation for this non quality of food and mis behaviour. Second thing keeping the brand name and cheating customers. This is not first time I faced on quality, repeatedly facing as we are travelling to ooty regularly. This time I won't leave this improper behaviour. What for we have to pay without the quality, a small hotel food is good. I am writing this because many people are going as it's bcz of brand as well as vegetarian hotel once we get down hills. Please don't go worst service and worst quality. Once I faced stomach issues but did not realise when I went few months back. But now only I realised it's bcz of A2B food. Please don't go. My kind...

A2B Restaurant – Mettupalayam to Ooty Main Road

During my journey to Coimbatore, I stopped for lunch at A2B Restaurant, located on the Mettupalayam to Ooty main road, opposite Black Thunder. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the security with a friendly smile, which created a pleasant first impression.

As I entered through the main entrance, I noticed a sweets stall displaying a variety of sweets and ready-mix products like dosa batter, idli podi, and other instant mixes. The setup was quite attractive for those looking to take home some authentic South Indian flavors.

Lunch Experience:,

I ordered two mini lunches and a plate of Gobi 65. The mini lunch included:

One chapati, Lemon rice, Sambar rice, Curd rice, Kesari sweet

While the quantity of the mini lunch was quite small, the taste was underwhelming.

Lemon rice had an overpowering sour taste, likely due to excessive boiled lemon juice.

Sambar rice lacked richness in flavor.

Curd rice was the only dish that stood out with a good taste.

Gobi 65 was well-prepared and enjoyable.

Overall, the food did not meet my expectations compared to other A2B outlets I have visited before, leaving me quite disappointed.
