Chennai ECR roads have number of beaches! This Uthandi Beach is some what unique because of the temple (koil) near the seashore.. you may visit number of Hindu temples but this one is most unique in its way.. There is no Gopurams or any other architectural marvel. That koil is in open place featuring the Urchava moorthi "matsya Avatar perumal" one among the avatars of bhagavan Vishnu. One of the ECR's cleanest beautiful beaches. Only a few benches are located close to the shore. The silence and sea breeze are pleasant. This location is suitable for a picnic. I advise going here in the evenings between 4 and 7. Had a fantastic time here. The feel of daybreak was also lovely here. I preferred Uthandi beach to Marina beach. I visited 1 weeks ago this beach. It is one of the beaches in Chennai which well have to visit. Because it is very nice and clean. It will give full satisfaction for our visit. Here well should not miss sunrise and sunset. Here food and drinking water selling fecilities are available. Parking also available.
