Visiting VGP Snow Kingdom in Chennai in 2022 was a unique and delightful experience, especially for those who wanted to escape the heat of the city and enjoy a winter wonderland. Located within the VGP Golden Beach resort complex, this indoor snow park offers a refreshing break from the typical attractions found in Chennai.

Upon entering the Snow Kingdom, we were immediately struck by the icy atmosphere and the sight of snow-covered landscapes, which was a welcome surprise in a typically warm climate. The temperature inside was kept low, allowing us to truly feel like we had stepped into a snowy environment. The artificial snow was surprisingly realistic, and we enjoyed playing in it, throwing snowballs and building snowmen—activities we don’t usually get to experience in Chennai!

One of the highlights was the snow slide, which was thrilling and fun for both kids and adults. We also found a range of winter-themed attractions, including ice sculptures and a dedicated play area for children. The friendly staff made sure everyone was safe while having a good time.

While it was a bit crowded during our visit, the overall experience was filled with laughter and joy, as families and friends enjoyed the rare opportunity to play in the snow. We took plenty of photos to capture the moment, making memories that we will cherish.

There are multiple attractions here.

Snow world: Pros: we can get the experience of snow, and there are just a couple of snow related games. For those who can't travel to see snow clad places this is a very good option.

Cons: kids and senior citizens who are not used to the snow temperature get tired easily and are trying to get out quickly / kids started crying. And the timing to enter is important. We need to spend some 5 to 10 min to wear all those snow clothing properly before entering. And the persons who take care of the gates don't care about people coming in line, instead they are advising to rush along with the crowd. Plus very costly for this 30 min experience, as a middle class person.

Jungle safari. This is a very small place located at the first floor. Takes less than 5 min to complete this attraction. Kids are sure to get frightened, although this is 100% artificial. The sound effect and the darkness makes the kids frightening. Not suitable for very young kids like 1st / 2nd standard.

12D show: Suitable for kids from 2nd standard till 8th. This is some 10 min show where we can feel the ride, along with water sprinklers and seat vibrations. Seat belt is mandatory for kids.

Overall a good attraction in chennai, but again the management can consiyto reduce the ticket price (₹950 for adults). Car parking is also available, but challenging to find space in spite of ₹50 ticket. So timing...

On April 14, I had the chance to visit VGP Snow Kingdom in Chennai with my sisters, and it turned out to be one of the most exciting and refreshing experiences we’ve had in a long time.

As soon as we entered, we were amazed by the chilling atmosphere and the realistic snow-covered setup. The temperature inside was maintained around -8°C, which instantly made us feel like we were in a real snow region—a rare and wonderful experience, especially in a hot city like Chennai!

We were provided with warm jackets, gloves, and boots before entering, ensuring we stayed comfortable throughout our time in the snow. Inside, we enjoyed a variety of fun activities—from snowball fights and sliding down icy slopes to posing with snow sculptures. The atmosphere was lively and cheerful, filled with laughter and the joy of people of all ages.

What made this visit extra special was spending it with my sisters. We laughed, played, and made unforgettable memories together. Whether you want to chill out, take cool photos, or simply enjoy something unique, VGP Snow Kingdom is the best place to spend time with family and friends. It truly gave us the feeling of being in a snowy wonderland, far away from the summer heat.
