Sea Tales Restaurant is located at 5/107, Jagajeevanram Ave, Injambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600115, near Golden Beach. Its charming fish pond attracts families and kids. They offer Sea food, Chinese and North Indian food.
Sea Tales Restaurant near VGP Golden Beach in Chennai offers a unique experience with its sunken space covered by a large rectangular koi pond filled with big, colorful, and beautiful fishes, making it attractive for kids and families. Customers can celebrate special occasions like birthdays and candlelight dinners here.
However, the dining experience didn't quite meet expectations. While the Sea Tales Chef's Special Spanish Chicken, Buffalo Wings, Chicken and Mutton Soup, and Lime Juice were reasonable in taste, the service wait time was quite high and the service approach was just okay. The ambiance was good, but the dim lighting and overcrowded atmosphere were a bit annoying
The lack of air conditioning, especially in hot Chennai weather, was a major negative point. The use of a dirty pedestal fan further dampened the dining experience. The premium pricing didn't seem justified for the quality of food and rewards offered.
Overall, the restaurant didn't live up to the hype and positive reviews seen on Instagram!Apart from the captivating fish pond, Sea Tales lacks positive aspects. The absence of air conditioning in Chennai's hot climate is a significant downside, worsened by a dirty pedestal fan and noisy fans

Read moreI recently had the pleasure to visit for a lunch on a rainy day, and I must say that the whole ambiance of the place was truly captivating. The restaurant's unique setting amidst nature's beauty heightened the overall dining experience. As I entered, I noticed that it was quite busy, and they had already closed the doors to others. However, I was relieved and grateful when they graciously accommodated us.
One aspect that stood out during my visit was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Despite being swamped with customers, they remained calm and composed, attending to everyone with utmost professionalism. It was truly commendable to witness their dedication without a hint of fatigue or irritation on their faces.
When it came to ordering, I decided to seek the waiter's suggestions. He enthusiastically recommended their best starters, and I must admit, his recommendations were spot on. The chicken and tiger prawn starters were absolutely mouthwatering, leaving me craving for more. The flavors were well-balanced, and the dishes were prepared to perfection. Additionally, I also tried the tawa fish, which was another delightful treat for my taste buds.
Overall, my experience at this restaurant was truly memorable. . I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience, whether it's a romantic evening or a casual get-together. I am grateful to the hardworking staff for their exceptional service and making our visit so enjoyable.

Read moreDisappointing Experience at Sea Tales Restaurant
We visited this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. It started with a half-hour wait to be seated, followed by another 20 minutes before a waiter even came to take our order. After finally placing our order, the food took another 30 minutes to arrive, making the total waiting time unbearable.
To make matters worse, the waiter seemed confused and unprepared — at one point, he asked us what we had ordered, which was frankly unacceptable. He mentioned that two chefs were on leave, but that’s no excuse for such poor service and lack of coordination.
Now, coming to the food:
Fish Finger – Average
King Fish Fry – Tasted good, but the portion was disappointingly small
Squid Roast – Extremely limited quantity with poor flavor
Chicken Noodles – Just average
Golden Fried Prawn – Somewhat good
Mojito – Very poor, lacked any cooling, tasted like flavored water
Chicken Lollipop – One of the few decent items
The only saving grace was the ambience and the seating alongside the koi fish, which were pleasant. But everything else — the service, the delay, the confusion, and the food quality — left us highly disappointed.
We ended up spending close to 2 hours at the restaurant, mostly due to delays. Honestly, we feel it was a complete waste of time and money.
Our sincere suggestion: Avoid visiting on weekends, or better yet, skip this place altogether if you expect good service and...
