The temple is really good. Kerala structured Temple. But what I didn't like the Purohits ( priest) ask you to come , give you flowers & ask for money. You will meet 3/4 priest like this,in front of different deities. There's no demand , you can give 20/50 rupees to each also. But they shouldn't ask like this, right? Pardon me, Not sure if it's the rituals there, but honorarium should be part of individual person's wish, it should not mandatory. We bought two coupons (30 rs each) to buy Prasad, but from counter the guy gave us only one packet. I repeated, we gave 2 coupons, but the counter person gestures( may be he doesn't know English) that I should receive only one packet. ????? Why ?? But I must say, some of the priests are really really good & kind hearted, they explained us & cleared out all our questions. Overall, do visit this temple if you go Chennai, but keep in mind above things.

Swamyae Saranam Ayyappa! In the heart of the city (Mahalingapuram) Ayyappan temple is located well connected through rail and road too. Temple offers online vazhipaadu too. People can wear maalai here, full kattu nera (irumudi kattu) done here with Guru swamis. Everything for Sabarimala yathrai very much available here to get Ayyappan's blessings. Yathri's shelter, annadhana mandapam and many more facilities also located very nearby. This year 2020 due to pandemic devotees are very less in numbers. Temple authorities maintaining social distancing and mask, checking temperature and sanitizer for safety of everyone.

I have been visiting this temple since my childhood, and it holds a lot of sentimental value for me. I start my Sabarimala pilgrimage yatra from here, carrying my Irumudi . The Ayyappa Temple at Mahalingapuram gives a divine feel and is perfect for those who cannot travel to Kerala, as it resembles a traditional Kerala-style temple. It also houses Guruvayurappan, and all rituals and services to the deities are done very punctually and with great devotion. The temple is very peaceful, clean, and efficiently maintained, offering a truly powerful and spiritual experience.

Temple is good but holding priest for any clarification is a painful if u dont know malayalam. They hear in tamil but purposefully answer in malayalam. And wrt neeranjanam to navagragha its another pain. If u go in the evening at 6pm, they deny saying its pooja timing. Immediately after pooja, the priest go for tea beak from 630pm and return only at 715pm. If u go in the morning at 830am, none will be there for neeranjanam telling its breakfast time. Only the price list is in tamil and if u ask any question they will respond back in malayalam only as if they dont know tamil. After paying one hv to wait at the mercy of any one who is kind enough to speak in tamil to get ur query answered. And if any malayali comes in btn, then u will be dropped just llike that till someone with humane mindset come for ur rescue. Have been experiencing this since 2019. Seen so many ppriests coming on deputation like onsite trip. Except for few most of them behave in based manner.

Today is worst of all. The designated went for tea break and did not come till 710pm. The incharge seeing me waiting asked another priest to do neeranjanam. He resisted and after push from mgmt came half heartedly. Half way thru designated priest came and he asked to takeover. That guy refused. So this guy got annoyed and was doing mudra for namesake, tooo flower from basket threw on my hand and ran away without giving chandan they give normally.

Just saying to myself that karma is powerful and will get returned in its own style,...

Mostly during all auspicious days heavy rush found infront of Ayyappan temple front both sides due to kettu nira as it can be shifted to sopanam temporiarly on nominal fees to each kettunira to aviod congestion..Aged devottes and childrens finds hard to undertake route dharsan as yesterday witnessed hvy rush and no one could control it. Either temple staffs or volunteers manage rush situations or a permanent solutions to be made soon.Fire fighting equipments may be made available at suitable points and an emergency exit may be kept ready for evacuation in case of any emergency situation rises. Like wise on all auspicious days weddings being conducted one by one, since the space is limited infront Guruvayurappan temple, limited no of people around 15 nos may be allowed to assemble inside marriage function site as other devottees visits gets disturbed as they find to move around worshipping all gods inside. This may be displayed outside temple and ensure strict compliance. Since population increasing day by day popularity too rising sky high, management body may consider this points and pure drinking water facility may be provided at 2 suitable points being tropical region. More Volunteers from wilful devotees on social work may be engaged to control situation on auspicious days. Kindly look into this matter. With kind regards...We are much happy on current arrangement but it needs more enhancement...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Serene Visit to Sree Ayyappan-Guruvayurappan Temple

My visit to Sree Ayyappan-Guruvayurappan Temple in Chennai was a deeply serene and spiritually uplifting experience. This temple, dedicated to Lord Ayyappa and Guruvayurappan, provides a peaceful retreat from the bustling city life and offers a perfect setting for devotion and reflection.

The temple is beautifully maintained, with a calming ambiance that enhances the spiritual experience. The architecture is traditional and elegant, reflecting the sacredness of the deities worshipped here. The main sanctum, housing Lord Ayyappa and Guruvayurappan, exudes a sense of tranquility that is palpable upon entering.

The priests and staff at the temple are courteous and attentive, ensuring that the darshan is smooth and fulfilling. The temple also provides well-organized facilities for devotees, including prasadam and clean resting areas.

Visiting Sree Ayyappan-Guruvayurappan Temple is a wonderful experience for anyone seeking divine blessings and spiritual solace. The combination of the temple’s serene environment, dedicated service, and the presence of revered deities makes it a truly special place that I...
