Venkateshwara Veg Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

The first restaurant which actually came near the Kodambakkam Railway station in its inception stage. It has authentic Udupi style tiffins, meals and all kinds of chinese items in the evenings on the menu. One of the very old restaurants which has kept its old style of udupi hotels and still even after restoration and retained it. Some of the good tiffin items which they provide are Poori and Dosa. It is always served fresh and you can rest assured there won't be any adulterated food served here in this hotel. The waiters are very friendly and give you a good vibe always with a beaming smile towards the customer. As we write, the restaurant has decided to close in the afternoons due to shortage of man power in this peak summer time. I got down at Kodambakkam station and was waiting for an Uber to go to Valasaravakkam. Since Uber showed me the cab was some 10 minutes away, I decided to go to this restaurant and grab a cup of tea, since I was really hungry. The cab was 3 minutes away, when I got the tea. Hence I was in a hurry and the tea was really hot, so I couldn't drink it straight away. Sensing my urgency, one of the hotel staff voluntarily took my tea and stirred it ("tea aathuradhu" in Tamil), and within a few moments, it was drinkable. I didn't expect this from him and hence I was too stunned to thank him. I didn't have change either, so I couldn't leave a proper tip.

One of the worst ever meals I have had in recent times. I have been their regular customer for almost 8 years now and look at the quality of the meal they serve. It cost 140 rupees for a veg parcel meal and the taste of the food was not to the mark. There payasam was literally made of oil and water. When spoke to the concerned person he said the payasam was a compliment, does that mean they can serve some thing just similar to பாத்திரம் கழுவுன தண்ணி? I asked for an extra curry all they said was no extra and all but look at the quality they provide!!!!
