This is a strange one. I've been a regular at Trella over the last few years. Today a new manager got in my face at the reception asking me who I am and where I am going. From the get go he had a bone to pick with me. I reached the rooftop restaurant and started to enjoy myself. Service and food were great as always.
I avoid sugary drinks and they didn't have Coke Zero or Diet Coke available. They were also not able to send someone to procure cans for me. Thereafter, I ordered via blinkit after checking with the waiter if it would be ok. When the order arrived I went back downstairs to collect it.
This is when the same effacious manager wanted to wag his badge in my face saying I could not carry the parcel to the restaurant. I tried to reason with him that I had resorted to this ONLY because they weren't able to serve me a zero sugar beverage from their menu. He refused to understand.
I called my friends and told them I was leaving and to continue without me at which point they all came down to see what the fuss was about. Suddenly this guy switched into an apologetic tone and magically I was allowed to go to the restaurant and continue my evening.
I have never been treated like this before and this manager made me feel like a criminal, a drug peddler. He needs to be educated in customer handling. No matter what the problem is, there is a way to resolve it with a smile.
At the end of my meal I asked the waiter to bill me for 3 cans of Coke without serving me the product, which they...
Read moreThe ambience and the place is good, I’m giving it a one star just because one of the staff members needs to be trained on how to deal with their customers. We had ordered a plate of chicken tikka and the waiter brought it to our table, a staff member who was near our table assumed that we had already received the order earlier and took the plate from our table without even asking us.He started questioning the waiter if he kept the plate of chicken tikka for the second time and the waiter confirmed that he was sure that this is the first time he’s bringing chicken tikka to our table. He brought the plate back only after the waiter’s confirmation despite us repeatedly telling him that this is not a duplicate order. We were utterly shocked at the lack of distrust and that put us in an extremely uncomfortable position. We are definitely not going back there again, it’s a shame that such a good place is ruined because of the behavior of few staff members.
Edit : The concerned staff called me and gave me an explanation of the incident and mentioned that it happened due to a...
Read moreThe first thing you notice about the restaurant is the ambience. The space is a combination of a sports bar and cafe. The seating is casual, staff are very friendly and helpful. Feel free to ask their suggestions, they know their menu well. The food - it's all of Indian favourites in their own interpretation - paneer, cauliflower, and corn for the vegetarians and chicken and prawns for the carnivores. The quantity could be improved. Some of the starters felt iver priced for the quantity on the plate. However, the quality was decent. They do have a good bar menu. Don't look around for cocktails. It's best to book your seats if it's the weekend. They have a good taste in music. The place is family friendly with staff helping the parents out by keeping toddlers and kids entertained. Slightly over priced but a decent place if you are with a group of friends or colleagues. All in all, a decent...
