Atuh Beach, Nusa Penida: A Secluded Paradise

Located on the picturesque island of Nusa Penida, Atuh Beach is a stunning stretch of white sand and crystal-clear waters that embodies the essence of a tropical paradise. As a traveler seeking a serene and breathtaking getaway, I had the pleasure of visiting Atuh Beach, and I'm excited to share my detailed review.

Ambiance: 5/5

As I stepped onto the beach, I was immediately struck by the tranquil ambiance that pervades the area. The soft, powdery sand felt like a warm hug beneath my feet, while the crystal-clear waters glistened in the sunlight, inviting me to take a refreshing dip. The surrounding landscape, dotted with lush greenery and towering palm trees, added to the beach's natural beauty, creating a sense of seclusion and tranquility.

Beach Quality: 5/5

Atuh Beach boasts an impressive stretch of pristine white sand, perfect for sunbathing, beachcombing, or simply relaxing. The sand is soft and clean, with no signs of litter or debris. The beach is well-maintained, with a designated area for sun loungers and umbrellas.

Water Quality: 5/5

The waters at Atuh Beach are nothing short of spectacular. The crystal-clear turquoise hue is perfect for snorkeling, swimming, or simply wading in the shallows. The water is calm and peaceful, making it an ideal spot for families with young children or those seeking a relaxing swim.

Amenities: 3/5

While Atuh Beach is a relatively secluded spot, there are still some basic amenities available to enhance your experience. You'll find a few beachside warungs (small cafes) offering local snacks and refreshments. However, it's worth noting that the amenities are limited, and you may need to venture into the nearby town for more extensive shopping or dining options.

Tips and Insights:

Getting There: Atuh Beach is located on the island of Nusa Penida, which can be accessed by ferry from Sanur or Benoa Harbour in Bali. Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit Atuh Beach is during the dry season (May to September), when the weather is sunny and dry. Accommodation: There are several resorts and hotels in the nearby area, ranging from budget-friendly options to luxury villas. Activities: Atuh Beach offers a range of activities, including snorkeling, swimming, and beachcombing. You can also take a boat tour to explore the nearby islands and marine life.

Conclusion:

Atuh Beach, Nusa Penida, is a secluded paradise that embodies the essence of a tropical getaway. With its stunning white sand, crystal-clear waters, and tranquil ambiance, this beach is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a relaxing and unforgettable experience. While the amenities may be limited, the natural beauty and serenity of Atuh Beach make it an ideal spot for those seeking a peaceful retreat.

"BETTER TO GO THROUGH DIAMOND BEACH istead of arriving to ATUH BEACH"

This was our first time at Nusa Penida!

BEWARE a local scamy guy saying "free parking lot but you need to buy drinks" He tried make 50K from us from only 2 small water bottles😆 Which was actually you don't have to buy anything from him😂

This the story begin : We came at 5pm to Atuh Beach a man following us with his scooter trying to be nice as local people and then his friend were really aggresive selling 2 water bottles. We paid him evetually because we saw that he has knife to open coconut that he sell (so yeah we not gonna risk our life for only small money)😆☺

The friendly local man keep talking nice and guiding us to climb down Atuh Beach even we said that we're fine we can walk without a guide (we did allot of hike so climbing those stairs is not a big problem from us)☺ He kept following us! He walk us down the beach and offer us that he can drove our scooter for 100K to "DIAMOND BEACH" so we can climb the stairs after we've done Atuh Beach and then meet him there at Diamond Beach..! Also he is telling us that we need to pay 25K each person for Diamond Beach tickets + 5K for scooter parking so in total 155K including bringing our scooter there☺😂 We didn't wanna pay that amount of money just to visit those 2 beaches😋 "Sorry i'm indonesian so i know little bit of your game"😂

The guy keep waiting for us on one of the sunbeds we but didn't really like it fells like we have no privacy as we came to the beach for relax! Then i came to him and paid 20K saying that we're fine we'll find our way back so he don't have to guide us back😉 He look frustrated that he couldn't make money from us through bringing our scooter to Diamond Beach☺ "Sorry Man"😆

So yeah you better come through "DIAMOND BEACH istead of Atuh Beach" If you come through Diamond Beach you just gonna get charge as parking free 5K per scooter! Doesn't have to buy any drinks from aggressive man or paying tickets☺

We did Diamond Beach at the same day and it was so much fun we're really enjoyed our hike😁💪

Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach are close to each other (you just need to arrive at the right place and climb...

This place is located near Diamond Beach, offering a great alternative for those who want to explore a different spot without losing out on the ticket price. The scenery here is absolutely stunning, with a combination of white sand and small coral rocks that create a picturesque view.

To access this hidden gem, you'll need to follow a small, somewhat challenging path from Diamond Beach and descend a set of stairs. It's important to note that this path might not be suitable for those who are not physically strong, so it's best to exercise caution. However, once you reach the stairs, you'll be greeted with a beautiful view of the mountains and the beach. Just be mindful of the monkeys that inhabit the area, as they are generally quiet and won't cause any disturbances.

It is highly recommended to visit this place in the morning, as it tends to be less crowded and offers a serene atmosphere akin to having your own private beach. You can enjoy the tranquility and soak in the beauty of the surroundings without any distractions.

When it comes to clothing, it's advisable to wear a flexible outfit that allows for easy movement. Non-slip shoes are recommended, but if you prefer sandals, make sure they can be easily removed as the path and stairs can be slippery.

The facilities at this location include sunbathing areas and swings, providing opportunities for relaxation and fun. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes, as it's perfectly fine to take a dip in the water and enjoy the beach to the fullest.

As a suggestion for improvement, it would be great if the road access to this place could be enhanced to make it more convenient for visitors. Additionally, it would be beneficial to consider reducing the swing fee for locals, making it more accessible for everyone to enjoy this...
