Beautiful place and beautiful artworks are exhibited in the museum. Three stars are given as I have a couple expectations that are not met (which I think should be fair to be expected)
Entrance fee: It was not stated how much the entrance fee is. I actually tried to look up online but a couple articles says “free entry”. Upon arrival, the reception says I should order items for IDR 25,000 in order to enter the museum. Personally I dont mind paying. I would love to have information before hand (online) if I should pay so customer can prepare before hand/have the right expectation.
Site map and exhibition information: -I’ve travel for 1 hour from Jogjakarta by motorbike, which I imagine alot of people will too- to find that the “museum” is a restaurant with a couple artworks exhibited here and there. There’s no map to let guest know what room exhibits which art work (even though the place is walkable and quite small). Map with some information of the exhibition pieces would be much appreciated. As a potter enthusiast l, I would like to know abit of thoughts process/explanation of the items exhibited, what material and by whom. Why do the artist design that way. So coming here and not seeing all that info is abit of a let down. But if it is presented and I missed it, it’s my bad.
Overall a great place, but would appreciate if all those above is provided. Thanks, I hope this feedback...
Read moreIf you're in Jogjakarta and looking for a relaxing and creative experience, Museumku Gerabah is a great spot to check out. I went there for pottery painting, and it was perfect. Plus, you get to take your pottery home with you, which makes it even more special. If I had more time, I'd definitely go back to try one of the full pottery courses, but even for just a painting session, it was an enjoyable and...
