Kujang Monument — Attraction in Bogor

One of the iconic place in Bogor.. the name is taken from a traditional weapon of sundanese tribe at west java. It located at the centre of Bogor the city.. near a modern place (botani square mall), public transportation (terminal baranangsiang), the other iconinc place of Bogor (Bogor Botanical Garden), and at the centre of one of the busiest street at bogor (pajajaran street). Back then, this place is one of main reason that cause (unbelievable but routine) traffic jam.. angkot (public transportation at bogor) stops here to wait for the passenger and that's a lot of angkot there (that's why Bogor is famous with a city of angkot). But by the time goes by, the gov and the people do their job to make this iconic place better.. hopefullly will get better...

Kujang is a traditional weapon of the Sundanese people. The obelisk is located on Pajajaran Street near the Bogor Botanical Garden. It was built in 1982. This monument is made at a cost of 80 million rupiah. The height of the monument is 25 meters soaring to the top. Kujang on the top of the monument is made of stainless steel. Tugu Kujang is a monument that symbolizes the city of Bogor. This monument stands between the meetings of the Pajajaran road and Otto Iskandardinata. When you enter Bogor from the Jagorawi toll road, about 250 meters, the position of the Kujang monument is on the right.
