Luminor Hotel Padjadjaran Bogor Hotel Bintang 4 — Hotel in Bogor

First time staying in new hotel in the heart of Bogor City, West Java, Indonesia called Luminor Hotel Padjadjaran Hotel by WH (Waringin Hospitality Hotel Group)

The grand opening was in the end of October 2023.

Near from exit toll Bogor, next to Botani Square Mall Bogor, few minutes walk to Bogor Botanical Gardens.

Many choices of food such as chicken porridge, mung bean and black sticky rice porridge with coconut milk (bubur kacang hijau dan ketan hitam serta santan), javanese style chicken soup (soto ayam), Indonesian Yellow Rice with its side dish, white rice, fried rice, bakpau, macaroni gratin, eggs, noodle, Indonesian traditional drinks a.k.a Jamu, concentrate juice, infused water, milk, tea & black coffee, various stews such as banana/sweet potato/edamame, cereal, cakes, jelly/pudding, bread, and fruits.

: Near to many places/attractions. Has 10floors, +/- 150rooms and a rooftop with pool. I think the parking lot fits until 50cars. Room has basic amenities, liquid soap, shampoo, toilet paper, 2 bath towel, tooth brush & paste, cotton buds, comb, shower cap, small refrigerator, safety box, 2bottle drinking water, tea/coffee/sugar, watter kettle, water jug, cups, 2 slippers, and hanger. Many choices of food and drink in the restaurant. Restaurant staff work quickly and responsive.

-: No face towel and hair dryer in the room. Water heater only on rain shower, no heater in the sink tap The multifunction room and gym room not ready yet in Nov 2023. Some food tested cold. Table and chair arrangement in restaurant is too narrow making it difficult to move around.

The hotel is also surrounded by a variety of eateries, ensuring you'll never go hungry. While parking slots at the hotel are limited, you can easily park at the mall's parking lot for a nominal fee.

Step inside the hotel and be greeted by stylish and well-appointed rooms that exude comfort. The complimentary breakfast spread is a delightful affair, offering a delectable array of options that rival those of neighboring hotels. The meeting room is another highlight, featuring top-notch audio equipment that ensures your gatherings go smoothly. While I didn't have the chance to indulge in the pool, I'm sure it's just as inviting as the rest of the hotel. And to top it all off, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always eager to assist you with a smile.

Overall, Hotel Luminor is a fantastic choice for those seeking a convenient, comfortable, and welcoming stay. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, you're sure to have a pleasant and memorable...

I'm honestly not sure how this hotel qualifies as a 4-star. The moment we entered the room, there was a strong smell — like an overwhelming laundry perfume spray. I couldn't tell if it was the hotel's actual scent or just something used to cover up the damp, moldy odor. There were even signs of mold on the walls.

The towels smelled musty and didn’t feel clean. Bathroom amenities were very basic — not even sanitary pads were provided, which I would normally expect from a hotel of this level.

The dining area was also disappointing — it was small, cramped, and always felt crowded. It reminded me more of a local food stall than a proper hotel restaurant. It didn’t feel comfortable at all to sit and enjoy a meal there.

What really disappointed me was the lack of service from the security staff. During checkout, I was carrying luggage while looking after my small child, and the security guard didn’t even offer help — he just disappeared.
