The place holds various memorabilia and exposition around Youth Pledge of Indonesia (basically when Indonesian youth pledged to unite to fight for independence in the 1920s-30s, for those not knowing). The place itself was a house where one of the meetimgs was held. The museum is laid out in a fun way where you go through rooms filled with various memorabilia of the age. It's not boring as the texts aren't really long and there are other things too like statues, a diorama, monitor displays, and interactives. If you walk on your own and read on your own pace you can get done in like 20 minutes to an hour so it doesn't feel overwhelming. The staff of the museum I met seem really eager to tell you about a lot of things when you ask them, so I love how I was able to just enjoy the museum on my own, like, they're not pushy about it at all. Wajib kesini buat pemuda pemudi Indonesia. 🇮🇩
I am so happy to visit this place today! This museum is not really crowded on weekdays and make the museum more calm. This museum is located on a side street close to the Pal Putih busway shelter by just walking around 400 m. You only need to pay Rp. 2,000/adults, Rp. 1,000/children, and Rp. 10,000/foreigner and you can get a comic and brochure. In this museum you can see illustrations of the preparation of the Sumpah Pemuda. One thing I like most is seeing the violin directly used by W. R. Supratman, the creator of Indonesia National anthem. In this museum, you also can read the history of all youth organizations in Indonesia and the biography of youth heroes with details on each wall of the museum. The museum is cold and clean. On the outside yard there are stone carvings regarding the youth oath and the proclamation of Indonesian independence. There are also illustrations of Pramuka. This museum is quite modern with a touch screen computer, speakers and W.R. Supratman in the form of a virtual cartoon! Indonesian young generations must come to this...
