I did the Boat Trip Package with Amed Snorkeling Tour. I was very disappointed to learn that they offer bread for tourist to feed the fish as part of their package. When I told them that it's bad for the fish they agreed with me and even elaborated that in addition to ruining their health, giving them bread also ruins their skill to search for food. Yet they still give the bread for tourists to feed the fish because they think tourist want it. I am sure that if tourists know that it's bad for the marine life, they wouldn't want to give bread to the fish anymore. The locals, more than anyone else should take responsibility for this amazing underwater life that Amed has to offer and understand that if they kill their fish and ruin their reefs, then there are no tourists in the future anyway. In addition to that, my snorkelling guide stepped twice on the reef to adjust his snorkel. I told him not to do it and he tried to explain himself, but I didn't fully understand him. For me, there's no way to justify something like that anyway. The person who books the tour is very friendly, helpful and tries to offer a nice experience for everyone. All in all, the snorkeling spots in Amed are amazing and every company offering tours in the area will take you around the same main spots. So please pick a company that cares for marine life instead and not a company who knows that they are doing wrong, but chooses not to do better and not protect the...

I booked a snorkelling tour and they send me an address on WhatsApp, and it’s a hotel. But they aren’t there, the snorkelling tour is sitting in an empty car lot opposite the hotel…
So I walk over and I see two gentlemen in blue shirts, of course I’m gonna think it’s them. I’m talking to these guys for awhile thinking this is the tour with, turns out it wasn’t… a man wearing a “google” shirt said “you booked me with no?” He got rather mad at me for talking to a rival snorkelling team. He got rather mad at me & said
“do you want Togo with them or me??” “Why go up to another snorkelling person?”
I put my hands up and I said “how was I supposed to know?” He’s wearing a bloody “google shirt” and sitting with a group of 15 men in an empty car lot.
I am a solo female traveller from Australia, And that really set the tone for the tour… I wish I just walked away then.
Honestly, you’re paying 55k for the boat ride, you can easily hire snorkelling gear and just...

We had an incredible snorkeling tour with 'Made' in Amed! He took us to several beautiful snorkeling spots, each with something unique to offer. The water was crystal clear, and we saw an amazing variety of marine life including turtles, which Made made a special effort to find for us.
What really stood out was how caring and patient Made was, especially with a less confident swimmer in our group. He made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable the entire time, which made the experience even more enjoyable.
This was easily one of the best tours we did during our trip to Bali, and Made’s warm personality and deep knowledge of the area made it truly memorable. If you go, be sure to tip him well — he absolutely deserves it for his time, patience, and the friendly, positive energy he brings to the experience.
Highly recommend booking with him if...
