I really don’t know where to start to describe how amazing this place is.
We spent a week in Amed for a nice relaxing break. The first night we ventured outside our villa to find a place where to eat…we saw some nice reviews about the place and decided to give it a shot.
Made, the owner (an absolute legend!), welcomed us with a big smile on his face and talked us through the menu. We ordered a few dishes and drinks (if you like chillies, you MUST try the spicy margaritas). The food was simply AMAZING, kudos to Made’s family who are doing all the hard work back in the kitchen! We then continued the night at the restaurant having more drinks (turned out to be a late one!), joined by Made who was really an amazing host.
We ended up coming back to Made’s place for a few more dinners during out stay (by the way, it’s also open for breakfast and lunch!). On one of the dinners they prepared for us an unbelievable whole fish cooked Balinese style, which was to die for!
Without doubt, this is a place that everyone should check out if staying in Amed. We can’t wait to go back and taste again their amazing food and experience their amazing hospitality. A home away from home!
Thank you Made and...
Read moreMade and his family are very welcoming and helpful with anything we asked for. All his food is fantastic, lots of authentic flavours. We have eaten there a number of times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The quality of food is fantastic and I would highly recommend trying this place out. Made also took us out snorkelling by boat which was worth every Rp. Just being out on the water looking back on the island is an amazing experience which you won’t experience by taking the roads to the snorkelling places along the coast. Will definitely be coming back to eat at Warung Made Hill and recommending it to all my family and friends traveling to this side...
Read moreWe had such a wonderful time at Made on the Hill. It has such a laid back vibe, great reggae music and the host Made is just amazing. He treats his customers like gold. He even did a small firecracker demonstration for our kids. The cocktails are the best we have had in our time in Bali. Nice and strong, lots of flavour, and cheap. (50k for a cocktail as opposed the other places that usually charge a 100-120k). The food was delicious, although don’t be in too much of a rush when you go there as the food takes a little time, but it’s well worth it. Just enjoy the vibe and have another cocktail while you wait.
Would definitely recommend. It’s a...
