This is the biggest mosque in Pekanbaru city. It is located in a large complex which covers public sport space, food court, merchandise stores, spacious parking area. The location is near to the mayor hall and other public facilities. The main hall of the mosque is at the second floor. To reach the main hall it has two escalators and stairs. However, it is quite far from the ablution room. It feels so far because the building is very big. You need to walk around one or two minutes to reach the main hall. The condition of the ablution room he's not really neat because you can find a big hole on the ceiling and dirty floors. Salah satu mesjid tertua yang ada di Pekanbaru. Mesjidnya lumayan besar dengan arsitektur bangunan yang indah. Disebelah mesjid ada makam yang bisa kita kunjungi. Bisa berwisata sejarah juga di mesjid ini, ada penjaga mesjid yang bisa membawa kita ke beberapa tempat yang ada nilai sejarahnya di mesjid ini. Bapaknya juga bisa menceritakan kisah kisah dan sejarah dari mesjid Raya ini. Di mesjid ini ada sumur bersejarah juga konon ada 4 sumur yang memiliki 4 rasa berbeda. Masih ada 1 sumur yang bisa kunjungi disini. Sayangnya disekitar sumurnya kurang terawat. Ada juga jalan menuju basement yang sudah tidak terpakai lagi, padahal kalau kita bisa lihat dari luar jalan menuju basementnya ada eskalator. Saya berharap ada yang peduli pada mesjid ini karena tempat bersejarah ini layak dijadikan tempat wisata sejarah untuk masyarakat umum...
