BSD Plaza — Attraction in Serpong Utara

This is the first shopping mall in the Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) since this modern self-sustained city established in Serpong area in early 1980s.

In its early stage of the BSD urban housing development in 1990s, the BSD Plaza was the only shopping center in this relatively remote area relative to more developed Jakarta.

As the one and only shopping mall in the area in 1990s, it was a very busy shopping mall; each and every kiosk was packed with visitors.

Now... after more than 25 years of existence, along with the mushrooming more modern and bigger shopping center in the BSD City, such as AEON Mall, ITC, etc., the BSD Plaza begin to wane. Less people visit this historic shopping center, not to mention after Covid-19 ravaged across the globe with no mercy, when the Covid-19 left most shopping center and ordinary shops closed down of bankruptcy.

Luckily, after Covid-19 slowly under control, the people start going out for shopping frenzy... which good for businesses like BSD Plaza that enable it the breathe again, not to mention the looming Moslem's holy month of Ramadan where muslims spending tend to increase ahead of Eid al Fitr at the end of Ramadan holy month.

Well, back to our review, the BSD Plaza implement a strict health protocol measures, where each and every people who visits this shopping center need to be checked his/her body temperature, check his/her vaccination status through the Peduli Lindungi App, wear-mask compulsory, etc.

Inside this BSD Plaza, there are some boutique such as "Batik Keris" boutique that sell Indonesia's batik, DSE factory outlet, Glodok Elektronik that sells almost any kind of supporting or parts of electronic devices, etc. You can also find a shop that sells rug both imported and local rug, sport shoes and Cinema, Holland Bakery, etc.

All in all, although not many brand found here, but this is an excellent medium size shopping center in Serpong, South Tangerang's City. There are also ample parking space which is very convenience.

There are 3 purposes I have visiting this place, to get hair cut; cheap sport apparel and old-days Silat Novel. These good and services are provided by tenants such as Rudy H Salon, Planet Sport and Gunung Agung book store. There are some other interesting service you can enjoy such as Cinema, Supermarket, DIY store, bakeries and KFC. This place is not crowded and has wide parking lot. Their location is nice really accesible for cars and motorcycle. During weekend you can find some cyclers spend their rest in cafe inside. Compare to other shopping district, you can really enjoy your walk arround, chill and not rushing, even if you have families...

very kind, warmhearted employees. very comfortable and clean supermarket, provides cardboard boxes incase we didn't bring plastic bags. this place had been my regular for a few years already and i could never get bored coming here. the xxi is also very affordable, prices are much lower compared to other branches (only 45k+-) the health protocols are good too, they have sanitizers and temperature checking is a must. 🙆‍♀️ the atmosphere here is just very homey and comfortable,...
