This three-story museum has an area of nearly 3,650 meters and an area of about 1,400 square meters. In the music museum, about 240 instruments of 200 different types are kept, including various sections such as showrooms (musical instruments, string, wind, traditional and stringed areas), museum treasures, audio and video archives, specialized library, workshop showing construction stages A special store is an optimal store of instruments, a written product repository, a coffee shop, and an audiovisual sector. In it's salons, you can see exquisite instruments, many of which have been borrowed from music professors/maestros, such as Mohammad Reza Darvish and Majid Kayani. Along with viewing these instruments, the audio information system of the instrumentation as a narrator will also familiarize you with more. It should be noted that the museum has bought a number of these instruments and borrowed a number of them, and some of them are donations to the museum. Another part of this museum is its specialized library with an exquisite collection of 3,000 books in 6,000 volumes, with 1,600 titles in the field of art and literature, and...

I recently visited the sound museum with high expectations, only to be left disappointed and underwhelmed. While the museum had potential, several factors contributed to a lackluster experience.

A major letdown was the limited collection on display. Most stuff was brought there And most others weren't interesting.

Furthermore, the presentation of the artwork was subpar. Many pieces were poorly lit, making it difficult to fully appreciate their beauty and intricacy. The lack of care given to instruments, especially to the ethnic ones, made me disappointed This oversight greatly hindered my ability to engage and connect with the pieces on a deeper level.

Moreover, the overall ambiance of the museum was good, it did have a big hall and good design the building itself was creative, and they have an iron plate instrument that...

Relatively small but visually pleasing ( the way this music museum displays music instruments are quite impressive). You will be greeted by a joint pipe horn at the entrance - played for praying good yields of agricultural products. The Cellini is amazingly designed… not very traditional as such but has meanings. Throughout the museum, they take a design ( was told French and Austrian style) very carefully. In the basement, there is a place where you can play or … shall I say try out traditional Iranian music instruments. After the music museum, you can have a cup of coffee at the cafe in the back of museum. There is also a workshop on glass making as well. Although i visited in winter, garden was nice and a hot coffee gave me a very nice touch. I think one hour for all that may be enough. Nice to learn music instruments of Iran!

A must see for anyone curious about Iranian instruments. Unfortunately at the time I visited there was no active tour guide on the site except for in the gramaphine room. Each if these instruments are made in a certain era and I would have loved to hear their stories. For example Tambrieh Noban, which is an instrument from south of Iran in Hirmozgan and is used in the zaar ritual. It has a very strange look and I was lucky to know this be ause one of the visitors just knew about the instrument and began informing us spontaneously. And still, I knew about the Zaar wind and ritual from before, Imagine how interesting each instrument's story could be!!!
